Michael Feldman

Michael Feldman, HPCwire Managing Editor

Michael Feldman is the HPCWire Managing Editor. Michael has worked over 30 years in the computer industry. He spent the first 25 years as a programmer/analyst at Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) and then as a software engineer with Aonix Corporation. While at CSC, Michael worked as a Department of Defense contractor, developing and maintaining OS utilities for Navy time-sharing systems, preparing software deliveries, and providing software support for sites worldwide. At Aonix, he developed the runtime kernels for the company's Ada compiler product line.

Michael became managing editor of HPCWire in 2005, expanding the scope of the newsletter into a full-featured online news site for the high performance computing community. Today he is responsible for the editorial content of the publication, including his share of feature writing. Michael also maintains his own "From the Editor" blog to offer a personal perspective on current events in the HPC community. In addition, he acts as the Editorial Director for Tabor Communications Inc., coordinating strategy for the company's editorial products.

Michael has a B.S. degree in Microbiology from the University of Maryland and a B.S in Computer Science from Chapman University. He resides in San Diego, with his wife, Patricia, two dogs, Tino and Oscar, and 18 fish, who shall remain anonymous.

Nicole Hemsoth

Nicole Hemsoth, HPCwire Contributing Editor

Nicole joined the HPCwire editorial team in early 2011 to bring news, analysis and new voices to the high performance computing community. She remains the managing editor of HPC in the Cloud, a publication that was launched in early 2010 to explore high performance computing in virtual and distributed environments.

Prior to becoming the editor of HPC in the Cloud, Nicole spent ten years managing her own agency that catered to the research and communication and technical writing needs of her clients. She has numerous white papers, case studies, and viability studies related to harnessing the power of the cloud and communications technologies.

She has also spent considerable time writing and performing technology-related research for firms seeking to reach new audiences using innovative communications technologies in the cloud. While Nicole's educational background is in English Literature, her focus has remained on technological developments and their practical applications.

Nicole will focus specifically on a range of practical, use case-driven topics, including innovative applications of high performance computing, emerging high performance computing hardware and software developments, as well as present thoughts insights from leading figures and vendors.

Robert Gelber

Robert Gelber, Assistant Editor

In his role as the Assistant Editor for HPCwire and Datanami, Robert provides the context for new and current developments taking place in the world of high performance computing and data analytics. Before joining Tabor Communications, Robert worked at various forms of technical support in the communications industry, most notably as a network broadcast engineer for a cluster of collegiate sports radio broadcasts, and as an audio engineer. A graduate of State University of New York College at Purchase, Robert is pleased to be supporting Tabor Communications in delivering new insights into today's HPC and big data industries to readers.

Jeff brings 30 years of sales and management experience, and is responsible for worldwide sales for the company's broad line of products. Jeff was Vice President of Sales for IDG's Bio-ITWorld magazine, whose focus is on HPC used specifically within the life sciences to accelerate the pace of drug discovery and development. Prior to IDG, Jeff held sales positions at CMP's InformationWeek and CMGI's Engage Technologies. Jeff holds a BS from Babson College and an MBA from Suffolk University. He resides in Methuen, MA with his son Jack (a freshman at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California) and his pure bred Bichon Frise "The Maya Bean".

Isaac is focused on business development and global sales strategies, increasing the array of product and service offerings to customers and expanding the Digital Manufacturing Report's subscriber base globally. With a rich history in publishing and marketing, Lopez' career spans over 11 years in the high technology and publishing industries. Isaac graduated in 1999 from the University of Idaho and holds a Bachelor Degree of Arts in Public Relations.

Mitch Becker is a Senior Account Executive at Tabor Communications. He brings with him nineteen years of experience in marketing management, developing marketing strategies, organizing marketing events, promotions, and Public Relations.

Mitch is in charge of direct sales activities for TCI's High Performance Computing publication, HPCwire.com. He constantly maintains strategic relationships with Fortune 500 technology leaders and provides lead generation and ROI reports on all marketing activities.

In the past Mitch's roles included such positions as Director of Marketing, where he managed the inception and marketing promotion activities, advertising, web content, collateral, tradeshows, seminars, e-mail and direct mail campaigns and all lead generation activities and PR.

Mitch received his Bachelor of Science and Associates of Applied Science Degrees at Southern Illinois University, in Carbondale, IL.

Ana Vasquez, Sales Operations Manager

Ana Vasquez is the Sales Operations Manager at Tabor Communications. With over 10 years of administrative experience she has been instrumental in helping TCI achieve its yearly revenue goals. Caroline Connor, Director of Marketing

Caroline Connor is a technology marketing professional with over 12 years of global experience in marketing communications, product marketing and channel marketing roles across software and hardware environments for both Fortune 500 and start-up companies. Caroline's background in the High Performance Computing (HPC) marketing began while working for Sun Microsystems and later, for SGI. Caroline has since expanded her marketing expertise working with a broad range of technology solutions providers including Bell Microproducts, ClearSpeed Technology, Longstone Consulting and most recently, at Oracle. A Portland, Oregon native and resident of Silicon Valley, California, Caroline loves to write, ski, travel and meet interesting people.

Matt Walters

Matt Walters, Sr. Marketing Operations Manager

Matt joined Tabor Communications Inc. in April of 2010, where he institutes creative e-marketing strategies for client/partner relationships through web, print and multimedia design and production. As Sr. Marketing Operations Manager, Matt handles production and delivery of both internal and external advertising campaign elements including audio, video, email, and graphic design. Matt resides in Vancouver, Washington with his son Jaeden.

John is the Webmaster for HPCwire and Tabor Communications, a position he has held since 1997, contributing more than 25 years' experience in web design and digital media. John holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Arizona State University, and resides in Summerton, South Carolina.
