Pro Evo 2013 demo dated, new screens

This year's challenger arrives next week

Konami has announced that it'll be releasing a demo of this year's Pro Evo next week, and has helpfully provided some screenshots and a video to show it off.

It'll have eight teams - Germany, England, Portugal, Italy, Santos FC, SC International, Fluminense and Flamengo Flamengo - and will allow you to use any difficulty setting. Much is made of this year's PES FullControl, which apparently gives you full control over the ball from the first touch. You may recall that FIFA 13 is promising much the same but is calling it "First Touch Control". There are people in offices in distant corners of the world who sweat buckets over such things.

Anyway, this will be your first opportunity to dispute the fightin' words of Konami's Jon Murphy, who told Eurogamer that people now "just assume that FIFA is better". Doubtless FIFA will have a demo along shortly to compare and contrast.

  1. I'll admit to being more than a little bit stupid over this years PES.

What I mean is, I actually believe that it's changed and reverted back to something like the best footy game ever made. As much as I've grown to love FIFA, I would love nothing more than for PES to be at least challenging for the title again.

I'm really looking forward to the "post Sea-Bass" era..... :D

I have gone through this every year since 2009 and have been continually let down by Pro Evo. It seems very early for their demo as well
