Get to grips with your very own Vertical Tank

That thunderous stamping? That's the sound of Capcom's Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor making its debut on Xbox Live Marketplace. The Kinect exclusive's demo is now available to download, providing you're a Gold subscriber. Hey, they don't let just anybody drive these mecha tanks.

We're in the process of luring the beast onto an Xbox Live hard drive, via a "breadcrumb trail" of oily car parts. Once we've suckered her in, There Will Be Impressions and possibly some video coverage.

It's a 1.01GB file. While you wait, read about how Microsoft upgraded Kinect to make Steel Battalion better.

  1. Do you ever get out of that machine? :?

  2. Tried demo with a couple of mates and just couldn't get to grips (or gripless) with the controls. Think either all Kinect controls or full use of the controller would have been better myself. In fact, can't really see point in Kinect controls really. So much for Molyneux's view of the future. If it is hands-free, think I'll stick with the dark ages of controllers myself.
