Games on Demand

Postby DGR1980 » 11 Jul 12 8:30 am

So I'm looking at getting Bully as it seems to be raved about here.

It seems to be about 1/3 of the price on Games on Demand, but only seems to be priced in £s. Anyone know if i can use MS Points to get it instead?

I think there's an option to convert the purchase to points, might be 'X' or it might be a written option. Can't help without doing it myself though really.

Like Bezza has just said, use the X Britton on the purchase screen that pops up and it'll convert it to MS points.

Assuming you can run it, Bully is currently £4.99 in the Steam Summer Sale. I'm very tempted, though if I'm not careful I'm going to end up spending hundreds in it.

I think I spent too much last year. I made a promise to myself not to buy anything I didn't really want this year so that I have some money left. Luckily I only have a budget of £15.

Now is a great time to fill your game list out Bezza.

Not only that, Portal 2 is £3.74 when I just spent £15 on the 360 version.

You can even get both Portal games for £4.49.

I'm trying to hold back, but I don't see it happening. I've already bought Ghost Master, but that was £0.89, so I can forgive myself.

They seem to be having some server load problems, can't imagine why...

Amnesia: Dark Descent is half price too. Must... stop... looking.

Yeah, I keep getting heavy load errors there's that much traffic. I got Amnesia as part of the most recent Humble Indie Game Bundle along with I think 6 other games; it's awesome, one of the only games that has ever genuinely scared me.

Amnesia's £6.49, Clang. They don't specify a graphics card in the specs, but they do mention that integrated and mobile cards might not work. If you've got a "gaming" laptop, you should be okay, otherwise check google before you lay down any cash.

What laptop do you have, Clanger? It runs fine on full settings on mine, though I have quite a powerful (but not specifically gaming) one.

Thinking about it, there's a free demo mate; try that to see if it runs.
