7 Things We Want in Red Dead Redemption 2

Cowboys, horses, and guns don't count

Rockstar hasn't gotten around to announcing a Red Dead sequel, but since when have a lack of announcements been enough to hold off endless dreaming and speculation? We might not have a release date, trailer or gameplay info for Red Dead 2 yet, but one thing's certain: games that sell over five million copies tend to get sequels.

Agree entirely about point 7. Although I love free roaming sand box games having a character that had a set personality and was so well written really made a great change, and it made the end one of my all time gaming high lights that still stops my heart dead everytime I see it. This worked because Marston was a person not just a cypher. The number of people on this site that admitted they didn't do certain things because it seemed out of character is a testement to how well rounded a person he was.

Something else i would love to see in the next RD is that they use the face animation from LA Noire, that would be so sweet specially in the poker games!

Pygmies.

Pygmies vs Cowboys, it's the new Pirates vs Ninjas.

Now you mention it Grummy I want Pirates! And Ninjas! And Pygmies! but not at the expense of historical accuracy.

lol damn the two page articles... why?

I would love to see more customisation options for hats, hair and beard. I wonder what he'd look like.... <---

Also, more minigames, challenges and stuff to do in towns... the random encounter things were great, but how about more depth to them to make them more unique (woman is lost/man gets hanged (yes, not hung)/ woman under duress all came about around 5 times each).

Yeah, it really took me aback too. I felt OK doing bad stuff when my bandana was on, but otherwise the guilt was horrible!

If they do do a sequel to Red Dead i reckon they have to follow on with Jack Marston. It should start when America enters WWI, and show how this new sense of total war is affecting what remains of the frontier. Jack Marston could be suffering from depression from having both his father and mother die in such a short space of time, drinking away his sorrows in a bar. However, he could get a visit from one of Marstons old friends who tells him about the plot to kill dutch's gang, telling him that there were more people behind it than he originally though. With a sense of vengance in his heart, he sets out to kill those who ruined his life, bumping into old characters like West Dickins, Seth and Leigh Johnson. Along the way however, he could meet someone whom tries to convince him that vengance is not to right path to peace, maybe a love interest of some sort. In the end you may have to choose either to kill the men you were after or accept what happened for a chance at a better life.

Could be titled Red Dead Retribution, as retribution is punishing someone for evil deeds, like those committed against John Marston and family.

1. Actually make it fun.
2. Make it possible to set up a campfire on a surface that isn't perfectly horizontal.
3. No more cheap fetch/escort quests.

Definately don't put cars in it, we have gta la noire all about cars. Bad suggestion. More like back in time cowboys and indians would be good, bows and arrows, scalping people, etc. I would like them to keep John Marston as he was hilarious but doubt they will if it ever gets made, hope so!

The only thing(s) that disappointed me about RDR was that:
1. There was no bow and arrows, to use as weapons.
2. No apaches, I wanted to massacre some villages!!

Things i would like in RDR2

1.) I would like the ability for your character to talk to NPCs to immerse you in the world more.
2.) I would like choice when it comes to helping or hindering people in main and side quests and have my choice and actions affect the game.
3.) More random encounters/crimes, towards the end of the game i just avoided armadilo because i was sick of herbert moon coming up me and telling me he got robbed. After awhile you had experienced all the random crimes/encounters and they got boring so have a lot more variety this time around to keep things interesting.
4.) Have more uses for setting up camp and joining the camp fire of other tavellers.
5.) Actually be able to be an outlaw this time so the player can go on a spree of robbing banks, trains, shops and generally raising hell when ever they feel like it
6.) Include Indians plus new weapons to go with them i.e spears, bows and arrows etc
7.) Have different quest lines the player can follow i.e bounty hunter/ outlaw/ sheriff/ hunter/gun fighter and have choices and actions in these quest lines affect the game
8.) Be able to scalp people with your knife
9.) More customization for the character, clothes, boots, beards, hairstyle etc
10.) More stuff to spend your money on i.e houses, livestock saloons, brothels, land etc and have quests lines for all these as well

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Marston killed in a hail of bullets at the end of the last game? Oh...you mean Marston Junior? So which dude was it in Undead Nightmare, Senior or Junior?

Undead was Marston Senior, but it was set before the afore mentioned hail of bullets. The free roam bit after you finish the Undead story was also John, but this time as a zombie after the hail.

Sorry, I should have flagged a spoiler. If it's any help it doesn't really give away anything on the actual Undead story line as the whole DLC is set during the Marston at home section of RDR, so has to be self contained in order to slot back into the real world ending.

Enjoy it though, I had a blast even though I started off thinking that zombies would just be a shameless cash in.
