Update: We've now got a statement from HTC confirming further Jelly Bean upgrades for its range.

HTC is planning to upgrade at least threeof its top handsets with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

The manufacturer sent a statement to TechRadar to say the HTC One X, the HTC One S and the 4G LTE-enabled HTC One XL device will receive the new software.

On its software updates page, the communications company says the upgrade is on the way, with an actual date still to be confirmed.

What about that other One?

"We know HTC fans are excited to get their hands on Google's latest version of Android. At this point in time, we can confirm that we have plans to upgrade our HTC One X, HTC One XL and HTC One S to Jelly Bean," am HTC spokesperson told us happily.

"Please stay tuned for more updates regarding device upgrades, timing and other details about HTC and Jelly Bean."

HTC had previous said it was "excited about Android Jelly Bean" and that the software update will come "across a variety" of its handsets. It refused to be drawn on exactly which and exactly when - and we're no closer to that date as yet.
