About the Team: About the Coaching: Lauren Molinaro is in her second season as the Head Coach of the New England Mutiny - one of only three female head coaches in all of the 60-plus team Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL). She served as an assistant coach at the University of Rhode Island for three seasons, and is currently a teacher at Manchester High School in Connecticut after receiving her Education Degree at the University of Connecticut. As a player, Molinaro helped lead the Mutiny to a second consecutive appearance in the 2008 WPSL Final Four, after winning the East Final over Tony DiCicco's undefeated SoccerPlus CT side. In 2007, Lauren played in all 12 regular season games in her third season with New England. In the 2007 WPSL Final Four held in Tampa, FL, Molinaro was selected to the All-Tournament Team. A 2001 graduate at UConn, Lauren played for four consecutive Big East champions while tallying 66 career points (22 goals, 22 assists). She was another player that came to the Mutiny via the WUSA route. The former NSCAA & Soccer Buzz All-Northeast Region selection was selected by the Bay Area Cyber Rays in the 3rd Round of the WUSA Supplemental Draft in 2001.
