Kid Icarus: Uprising developer Project Sora has closed its doors after making just one game.
Founded in 2009 by Kirby and Super Smash Bros designer Masahiro Sakurai, the independent developer received funding from Nintendo and Sora - Sakurai's primary studio.
The studio actually closed on June 30, and the developer's website will follow at the end of the month. No reason for the closure has been offered, and it is unclear as to whether affected staff will be offered positions at Sora - which is currently working with Namco Bandai on a new Super Smash Bros game for 3DS and Wii U - or Nintendo.
