You may think you know everything there is to know about Minecraft on Xbox 360. Heck, you've done it all - punched diamond ore, herded pigs, dug a massive hole to nowhere, built a massive tower to nowhere, seen it all, bought (or at least, constructed a large cuboid version of) the T-shirt. But here's the thing: the admittedly awesome version of Minecraft you're playing now is but a foreshadowing, a partial rendition of the awesomeness to come.
4J Studios is currently bringing the port up to spec with Minecraft Beta version 1.7.3 on PC, adding shears and pistons to the mix alongside masses of minor tweaks. The patch in question lands next month - an exciting start to the summer indeed, where "excitement" equals "trimming hedges" and "remotely shoving blocks around". Greater things are in store, however, as detailed on the Minecraft Wiki. Hit the next page button for more.

oh wow, Minecraft looks like its gona get even better, because im insane im hopeing that after that update they will create the ability to, i dont know, take over towns, forteresses and that, not just destroy them as you are in a bad mood and what ti take it out on someone elses virural castle. Or at least create permanent servers so we can enter OXM land whenever we want
(please please let me join OXM land)

I'm looking forward to villages myself, no longer will I have to build my own and be the ruler of nothing but my own blocky shadow.
That and creation mode of course.

I want it all and I want it now you hear me 4J and Mojang. I especially want the abandoned mines, something more to explore. Creative mode isn't going to be for a while is it? Think it the big 1.8.3 update its coming which bu all accounts is the tuffet to implement

Great stuff can't wait until all these get implemented.Especially looking forward to being able to do a bit more in the Nether, the abandoned Strongholds should introduce a couple of new creatures as well. Not super anxious for the npc villages as i take it the pc one still has to get full function out off their npc villages. The abandoned mineshafts will be good as well.

well this sounds fun.
i think before all this happens i should demolish my whole city and just start a new map when the update appears.

That might be the case anyway for all of us if and when they introduce the bigger maps.Must say if that does turn out to be the case should be worth it for all the extras despite the hours sunk into it.

Sounds interesting, good to have a cheeky little introduction into the wider Minecraft universe. This is definitely something to play in split-screen for me, such good fun to trot about building and exploring and such. Can't say any of my creations have a patch on the MIGHT of OXM land but strangely satisfying nonetheless.
For now though, it's all about Lego Batman 2 - epic.

I wonder if it will unlock the End via End portals. That will be a fantastic element. I would love to battle the Ender Dragon with my diamond sword!
