Leslie Wexner has seen his fortune grow by $1.1 billion this year thanks to a 70% boost in the stock price of his Limited Brands chain of mall staples. His retail empire continues its spread overseas: Lingerie giant Victoria's Secret is opening outlets in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia this year, and upscale sister brand La Senza just launched a Sydney, Australia flagship. Ohio State law school dropout Wexner founded The Limited with a $5,000 loan from his aunt in 1963, and took it public six years later. He sold a majority stake in The Limited clothing chain in 2007 and gave up the remaining stake last year. A passionate contemporary art collector, Wexner has pieces by Picasso, Matisse, Degas and DeKooning. He previously funded Ohio State University's Wexner Center for the Arts and in February, he and wife Abigail pledged another $100 million to the college to be doled out over nine years.
