LG is rumoured to be working on a new handset with superphone specs and a name that sounds like a jet.
Not released in Australia, the Optimus 4X is LG's current flagship smartphone.

According to whispers on the internet, the F180 will be the name given to LG's next flagship phone, and it will be among the first devices to use Qualcomm's upcoming 4G-capable quad-core Krait processor clocked at 1.5GHz on each core. It will have 2GB of RAM and the latest Adreno 320 graphics processor.
There will also be an oddly numbered 13-megapixel camera on the back side of the phone, and a 5-inch HD resolution IPS touchscreen across the front. Alongside 4G network compatibility, the F180 is rumoured to also include Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and Wi-Fi a/b/g/n. Similar to the Samsung Galaxy S III, a 2100 mAh battery could be used to power this beast. The rumour rounds off with the phone running on Android Ice Cream Sandwich — though if LG really wants to stay ahead of the pack, it should really be aiming for a Jelly Bean release.
This certainly sounds like a lot of phone, and with such a long hiatus between major releases, it's just what LG needs to get back in the game. It also needs a sharp design — an area where recent LG phones have seriously been found lacking.
