38 Studios bankruptcy hearings begin

38 Studios went to Delaware's bankruptcy court this afternoon beginning the arduous process of salvaging what it can in the face of a $270 million debt.

The hearing marked the first opportunity since the studio filed for bankruptcy for creditors to question the company's executives. According to the Boston Globe, creditors and employees who have gone unpaid since May will likely receive nothing through the proceedings as the studio takes the first steps towards liquidation.

Medal of Honor: Warfighter, the upcoming FPS from developer Danger Close, will have a multiplayer map set in the jungles of the Philippines, publisher EA revealed in a trailer today.

'Deus Ex' film in the works with CBS

Deus Ex is heading to the big screen.

The rights to a film adaptation of Square Enix's cyberpunk title are now under ownership of CBS films, with Roy Lee and Adrian Askarieh to produce, according to Variety.

CBS Films will work with developer Eidos Montreal on the adaptation based on last year's video game Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

'Resident Evil 6' to feature 255 minutes of cut scenes

The upcoming installment in the Resident Evil franchise, Resident Evil 6, will have 255 minutes worth of cut scenes, according to a filing by the British Board of Film Classificiation.

In comparison, the BBFC lists Resident Evil 5 as having 65 minutes and 17 seconds worth of scenes, while Resident Evil 4 includes 127 minutes.

Resident Evil 6 arrives on PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 on October 2nd, with a PC version to follow, and will allow players to experience the plot through three scenarios.
