Step 1

First, you must be signed in. Now click on the "Settings" link in the top, blue menu items.

You've landed on the Settings page. Here you can administer many of your personal settings, such as avatars or privacy. To change you email address, click on the "site options" link.

The page updates quickly. Check the menu bar: "site options" should now be highlighted. This is a very long page (as you can see in the sample to the left). Scroll down until you find the section called: "Email Configuration."

In the box next to "Private email" enter your personal email address. There is a "Private" email option and a "Public" email on this page, Make sure to chose the "Private email" option. If you are a digimag subscriber, make sure this email is the one associated with your digital subscription to GameInformer Magazine. If you are concerned with the privacy of your email address: rest assured, ti will not be shared publicly. BUT WAIT! You aren’t done yet. Scroll all the way down to the bottom of this page.

Step 3 (c)

To ensure your email (and any other changes you may have made here) are updated, click on the "Save" button.

After clicking the "Save" button, you will receive a confirmation in a green box.

So you want to view your digimag, but you’re on gameinformer.com? - No problem. Make sure you’re logged in at gameinformer [How do I do that?]. Now move the cursor to hover over the "Magazine" in the black menu tab. Don't click just yet - wait for the drop-down menu to appear.

Here's what the drop-down menu looks like. Now move the cursor to "Read Current Issue" and click on it.

Now just click on the "Launch" button and your digimag viewer will appear in a new browser window.

If no new window appears, check the web browser settings and enable "pop-up windows" for gameinformer.com.

Here we go! Enjoy entire issues of the World's #1 Video Game Magazine right on your desktop, phone, or tablet. Don't forget to utilize the menu tab, especially if you're looking for past issues in the Archive.

Click on the "Join" link in the top, left corner of the gameinformer.com home page.

You will be redirected to a new page. First, create a "sign in name". You can name yourself anything you want, but you must remember this name for future references.

Next, you need to supply a valid email address. If you don’t currently have one, you can easily create one for free at yahoo.com, gmail.com, or hotmail.com or many other providers. To avoid any typos, we ask you to enter it twice. You just never know.

Now, we ask you to type in the "odd-looking" words in the box. This is for security reasons, because we don't want any spam bots to intrude our community. Yet at the same time you're doing something good. To find out more about reCAPTCHA, click here.

Lastly, click the "Join now" button.

Step 3

Within a few minutes, you will receive an email from us. In it we welcome you to our community and it also includes a temporary password, so you can login immediately. Use the link within the email to do so quickly. If you don't seem to receive this email, check your junk and spam folders. It may have accidently been routed there.

Step 4

That's it! Enter your "Sign in name" (remember, step 2). Enter the password you received in the email (see step 3). Click the "Sign In" button and you have arrived!

Before you let loose on the community or inhale the digimag, we suggest you change your password to something easy to remember.

Here's the sign-in page. Enter the name with which you originally registered. Below, type in your password.

If you cannot remember your password, don't worry, we can help you. Just click on "I need help with my password" below the sign-in button.

After clicking the Sign in button, you will be redirected to our homepage. If you look at the top right corner, you will now notice your name and an avatar. You are good to go!

In order to safely and successfully change your password, there are three boxes you need to fill out.

1st: enter your current password (the one you no longer want to use).

2nd: enter a new password.

3rd: enter this new password one more time to ensure we got it right.

Now click on the "change password" button.

Make sure to wait until you see this confirmation message.

If you do not get this message, your password has not been changed. Reasons for an unsuccessful attempt may be:

- the current (old) password was entered incorrectly.

- since you entered the new password twice, one of them does not match the other. Check the "Caps Lock" and try again.
