Yes that definitely is an issue the manufacturers have to overcome.

one big issue is that SSD's have shorter life cycle which means that it goes down easier than hard drives (assuming u don't use the laptop on the train)

I am sorry but if you can't tell the difference between an SSD and a regular hard drive there is something wrong with you.
An SSD improves the every day performance of a machine more than a better processor or graphics card.
