Extra Life 2012:
On Oct. 20th, 2012, I'll attempt a 24-hour video game marathon in support of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals® and it's my sincere hope that you'll support me (see the link below) with a monthly pledge or one-time gift that will go directly to my hospital. Your donation is tax-deductible and ALL PROCEEDS go to help kids. Thank you for your consideration and any support you can provide!
Please also consider joining Team GIO to help raise funds for the children's hospital of your choice. Last year, a few of us in the Game Informer Online Community managed to raise over $2,000. This year we have more time and with your help, we can certainly raise more money. For details, see our team page here.
The Basics:
The most important thing I can tell you about me is that I'm a lifelong gamer, having played video games for more than 30 years beginning with arcade classics like Tempest and home consoles like the Atari 2600. In that time, controllers evolved past one stick/one button configurations and games beyond blocks of a few pixels. Ironically, I'm still a noob LOL.
I'm also a husband, father, homeowner, professional, etc., and likewise often feel like a noob in all those roles as well. In fact, I guess you could say I'm best at being a noob, if that's not an oxymoron (though even if it is, it just proves my point). So if not here, know that I'm busy getting pwnd elsewhere. ; )
I've been trying to think of what else to tell you that might give you some insight on who I am without compromising my crime-fighting alter-ego (haha), so here goes ...
