No it isnt. Physical is still what gamers want, and where the majority of new game sales are coming from
companies are trying to force it because its better for them but it isnt for consumers

I'm not sure that the fact that Gaikai only streams PC games is a big one - streaming tech is likely to be relatively similar no matter the code (Sony streams from PS3 to PSP/Vita at the moment as well, so isn't a stranger to streaming games to devices, and it's been done for PSOne/PS3 games).
The real hurdle is broadband availability. My punt is that these kind of streaming services will start to kick off next 'gen', but will be niche and geographically limited (by network technology) initially, but become far more widespread before the gen is over.
