Vote for the E-Zine of Druzhyna Kulturnykiv of Ukraine
Hartuis, druzi!
Many of you receive the Ehe Zh! E-zine every month (if anyone doesn’t but wants to please email your request for subscription to kulturnyky-ua@cym.org). In 2009, Druzhyna Kulturnykiv of Ukraine started to publish Obizhnyk Kulturnykiv that has developed into an independent Ukrainian cultural e-zine and now has around 300 subscribers including not only sumivtsi.
In case you don’t know much, or know nothing at all about Ehe Zh! – it is an e-zine about culture and everything associated with it. Literature and music news; interviews with Ukrainian musicians, writers, and community leaders; life of the Ukrainians in Kyiv, small towns, and abroad; travelling... all of it you can find in the e-zine. A fresh view of young people who not only consume culture but create it themselves – that’s what we offer.

Holodomor
All of Ukraine and the whole world honors the memory of millions of victims of the Holomor of 1932-33.
This was an unprecedented crime in the history of the world. Because the man made famine was directed
not only at the physical destruction of the Ukrainian people, but the communist regime sought to
deprive the Ukrainian nation of its freedom-loving spirit, its identity, to break its spine.
Ukraine and the world bow their heads in sorrow.
We have not forgotten.
We remember.
«A Seed of Hope»
Recently a new book titled «A Seed of Hope» was published by Svichado Publishers. The book represents the first anthology of fictional works for children about the Holodomor. The project was initiated by CYM in Ukraine and by «Krylati» magaine, and edited by CYM's own Lyudmyla Yurchenko. A Seed of Hope is a collection of prose and poetry which help very young children become familiar with the history of the Holodomor in a style that isn't overly traumatic for their age group, but presents the subject matter through storytelling and in a way that is suitable for young children. We anticipate that this publication will be useful when presenting the Hololomor to school age children in October, the month when the tragedy of Ukraine's Holoomor is traditionally remembered collectively by the community.
