I'm having a pretty tough time deciding on whether or not to get this. I just got the Galaxy tab 7.7 off craigslist for dirt cheap ($250..... So is the jelly bean and nfc enough for me to get a new one?

You better wait.
Some dev's will use the AOSP to port Jelly Bean.
But if you have some dollors to spend, Do So!
