Google Nexus 7 is now official, comes in July for $199 - read the full textGoogle officially unveiled the Nexus 7 tablet at the Google I/O Developer Conference in San Francisco. from what I here (only from comments - not formal announcement - the battery is non removable) it's a bit of a con - and I blame journalist for not reporting this or asking the right questions...but considering the thing will be obsolete in a year and a battery would probably cost £60 then I think in reflection that they got it right...if say a removable battery would have put the price above £200.

Well so what. Just speed, I guess for the games market. Suggest the size is ok, but people will pay the price for function, such as where is the 3G and voice call ability, and a decent camera. It cant be that expensive to include, otherwise why buy it. I rather spend twice the price or more on something like Samsung 7.

there will be chinese tablet named ainol burning with same spec as nexus 7

1280x800 ips 7 inch
front camera etc

with amlogic 8726-MX(chinese SoC with great perfomance! beat eynox 4210 in benchmark) dual core cpu and gpu with cpu perfomance half of tegra 3(like dual core version of tegra 3) and dual gpu with perfomance nearly par with exynos 4210 gpu(@266mmhz)

vibrate function

price for 16GB version is roughly 175$ with support micro sd card up to 16gb which nexus 7 doesnt

but dont forget it's a CHINESE tablet BUT it's no 1 chinese tablet company with it's known ALPS button and pre rooted firmware LOL

Was hoping this had a sim or micro sim card slot so I could use the internet without having wifi. Another tablet that is missing the point. I dont want to tether, its inconvenient and requires carry more equipment around with you.

If it had a Pixel-Qi (normal screen and e-ink screen together) to read books comfortably on the beach or on natural light conditions, I would buy it. As it hasn't this important feature for me, I'll continue with the Notion Ink Adam Pixel-Qi tablet.

Excellent news. Cheap and cheerful tab that can be used when away from the PC/Laptop, and one that receives all future updates first.
