Oracle today confirmed the departure of Executive Vice President Keith Block in a regulatory filing today. Block was the author of a series of embarrassing instant messages disparaging Oracle’s own Sun Microsystems line of products. They emerged in documents filed by Hewlett-Packard in the ongoing lawsuit over Intel’s Intanium chip. Block had been with Oracle since 1986.
