“Nexus” devices are designed by Google in conjunction with a single hardware maker, and are meant to showcase the latest version of Android. With a 7-inch, 1280-by-800 resolution display, the Nexus 7 is easier to hold in one hand than larger tablets such as the iPad. Despite its size, it still packs an Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor and 1 GB of RAM, which allows for high-end games with 3D graphics. Battery life is an estimated 8 hours for movie playback and 10 hours for web browsing.
