“these things are cool, but do we really need them is the question i am asking? could they have situations where they could be useful, absolutely, but is it something that is good for the average consumer, i really dont think so”
“hey i figure one public execution is a good punishment for the years of abuse JA has poured onto the sheriffs office and the people of maricopa county. this man is a traitor to all that he claims to stand for up to and including the law of the Constitution and therefore should be treated as such. If he can dish out his own brand of "tough justice" than he should be able to recieve it as well. Since he is a traitor, he should be dealt as one, and what do you do with traitors... you execute them. period. end of story.”
“well since eric holder hasnt been violating everyones civil rights, wasting tax payer money, and criminally neglecting his duties then no. however racist biggots like you should probably be on the firing line next joe "friend of white supremisists everywhere" arpaio as well”
“you miss the point.. yes they have made a number of good products...a very, very, very small number, but they have overwhelmingly made a lot of crap... overpriced crap at that... i think its ironic that a company that things should "just work" have so many products that didnt, and on the strength of those (3 or 4) products have some sort of idea that they are now going to be the gold standard til the end of time... they are not and never have been, otherwise we'd all have been using macs for decades. lets put in perspective here, even the first iphone had major problems with it.. you know like the fact you couldnt use it as a phone and their executive gave us the "your holding it wrong" defense.”
“I did use Apple computers for decades. As I've said, they've made solid machines and still do. I'm not discussing their hype. All corporate hype is BS.”
“Not really. Apple has made a number of solid machines. Find me a company without any failed products and you've found one that's never tried anything new.”
“No. Apple products are born of immaculate conception and are always light years ahead of the competition. Apple was created in 6 days and did not exist before 2008.”
“what you sheep dont realize is that PC's have controled the market for years, so with such a major desparity between the number PC users (LOTS) and Mac users (few) it makes more sense to write malware that would affect what MOST of the world is using. why waste the time infecting a couple hundred thousand people, when you could infect millions. However, now that Crapple has a larger market share, more malware is being created for it. Its not that macs are a superior machine, in fact, user experience wise, they are pretty much that same as PC's so I am not understanding where all this mac-ego has come from over the years considering the FACT that apple has only really been a minor play up until recently. For you to act as arrogant as you do is unwarranted considering that happle had been putting out overpriced crap for years.”
“you can probably get some from a local pharmacy or medical supply wharehouse, its non-narcodic and inert to the human body, you dont really need to have anything more than id, probably lesss than that... oh hey look you can get it on amazon.com http://www.amazon.com/Kordon-Oasis-Novalek-Methylene-Medications/dp/B002DVYBFY”
“first of all the big corps did not get compansated by the gov. yes they can write off the loss on taxes, but that isnt the whole case, before they can do that they have to try to collect on it for a specified time and then they can claim it as a loss, but even then they cant count the entire amount of the loss, only a portion of it. the debt collection companies actually purchased the debts they are trying to collect on at pennies on the dollar or at an agreed commision upon collection (sometimes as much as 50% of the debt) plus a fee for services. so no matter what the companies lose money. most of the time (read: almost always, like 99% of the time) there is no government compansation for losses other than some sort of tax break. it doesnt work like that.”
“Here's the solution. Get the rep who calls you's info, company and relevant contact info. then tell them to ONLY correspond to you in writing. They are required to do so by law - The Fair Debt Collections Practices Act has been in place for years.
I think the main problem, though, is that at this point there are a lot of people in debt on accounts that have gone to collections, many more than in previous years, and when you have more debtors, you have more collectors, and more complaints. But even then, there are many debtors out there that have an overblown sense of entitlement and now that they are in self created debt they are unwilling to pay what they owe, and you'll find that they will make up all sorts of stories. I am not saying there arent unscrupoulous debt collectors out there, there are plenty, but what I am saying is that there are two sides to the story (speaking from experience here, I was a collection agent for almost 3 years while I was in college and most of the people i worked with were very "by the book" and we all recieved complaints about us every week. Because people in debt do try anything to not pay.)”
“But if the big corporations write them off as losses on their business income tax returns and have been compensated by the government why do Tom, Dick, and Harry collection agencies want to collect what is not owed to them but to the government, the government should turn around and collect from the collection agencies, bet they wouldn't like that. LOL”
