If we believe that human existence is and must be devoid of meaning, is it possible for us to flourish as human persons in community with others?
Albert Camus wrote that "[there] is but one truly serious philosophical question, and that is suicide. Judging whether life is or is not worth living amounts to answering the fundamental question of philosophy." How can we fairly judge the truth value of this credo?

Since suicide is one of the big guns of get your own way behavior, I wouldn't make it a philosophical glory theme. I tend to agree with the Presbyterians as quoted by Ruediger Sahm. The way to being more like God in religious thought worldwide, and through time is to give up the self. The way to happiness, inner peace, nirvana?

Suicide a different kind of giving up the self? Its evil twin? Another big lie? I suppose the key to the question begins with the "if"?

Well, if you believe that you are, as is famously said, "congealed space dust," then you know you have no more worth than dirt. You can judge this yourself: are you just dirt, elaborately organized, but still dirt. Is there no more to you than that?

If there is no more, then you and your fellow creatures "mean" no more than any other gaseous cloud of hydrogen floating through the universe. Any treatment of the cloud or you is justified and "good" or "bad" are meaningless. Camus took things from this view of himself.
Of course, you are not just dust so Camus' premise was incorrect.
