CAPS Enterprise to Demonstrate OpenACC Portability at ISC'12

RENNES, France, June 14 -- CAPS enterprise, leading provider of HPC compiler technology, today announces the first technical demonstrations of OpenACC on three major hardware platforms: AMD Firestream, Intel MIC, and NVIDIA tesla.

As an open standard initiative around directives, OpenACC model aims at simplifying many-core programming on various accelerators. During ISC'12, CAPS is going to demonstrate OpenACC portability by executing the same code on the leading massively parallel architectures: AMD Firestream, Intel MIC and Nvidia Tesla. With the first OpenACC deployments operated successively on these three platforms, directive-based programming reaches a key milestone.

“We are very glad to demonstrate our latest achievements by making applications run on these various architectures with OpenACC. This unique code execution on different hardware is an illustration of our commitment to this standard.” says Eric Courtois, director of software development at CAPS.

The OpenACC standard is implemented in CAPS compiler, now available at 199$/199€. OpenACC directives allow users to easily leverage many-cores accelerators computing power while preserving C or FORTRAN codes.

These demos will be held during ISC 2012 in Hamburg, from June 17 to 21 on CAPS booth (#840).
