Root available for T-Mobile, Sprint, and AT&T variants of the Galaxy S III
While we told you that a method for rooting the Samsung Galaxy S III was discovered back in May, the method was found to work on the release candidate of the device’s firmware. Now that the actual production units are out and there are slight variations for different carriers, working root methods have been discovered for AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile Galaxy S IIIs.

The method is the same for all 3 carriers and is pretty much what you’re used to seeing for most Samsung devices. All 3 variants can be rooted by using Odin to flash a kernel and ClockworkMod Recovery to flash root. Interestingly you can use the same files for the Sprint and the T-Mobile S3s, but the AT&T model uses different files. It’s suspected that all 3 might be able to be rooted the exact same way, but right now it is only proven that the AT&T version works with the method posted over at XDA, so it’s probably safe to stick with that.

If you’re looking to root your brand new Galaxy S III, head on over to XDA in the source link below and check out the thread for your carrier for step by step instructions for your specific device.

Awesome, XDA will make the best phone even better - expect a JB upgrade as soon as possible.

What about the Verizon one? Oh, that's right, no one has one yet because Verizon HAS to be the last to the table every time.

RAZR and MAXX still the best for now, with Verizon - Big RED will be getting a windows phone soon enough, but clearly AT&T; has the best choices for OSes/style/sizes of smartphones. Wow, just in April 2010, I was complaining to them how their lineup of smartphones was so weak.

Even now I am on a leak of ICS, and such leak is supposed to be the actual version for the RAZR. There are plenty of ROMs out there, that are noT CM, that are very good.
FUSION ICS for the captivate, for example.
