Mass Effect 3's Extended Cut DLC is now available to download from Xbox Live Marketplace. It's totally free, and weighs in at 1.9 GB. "Additional scenes and an extended epilogue reveal the impact of Shepard's choices on the future of the galaxy," notes the cursory blurb.
Here's how to go about experiencing said additional scenes, if you've already completed the game. Load up your Legendary save file (the game should have generated one) and replay from the Cerberus Base attack onwards. Hooray! Let's all celebrate with a revolting sex scene.

Downloading this now...
Such a big file - does it come with anything else other than a few additional scenes??

Not sure, to be honest. It's rather mysterious.

Downloaded it via Xbox.com - now my console is stuck in an endless loop of completing the download, then restarting it. As it's already downloaded, it takes a couple of seconds, then completes. Bleep...bleep...bleep...bleep. Can't clear it off my download list as it throws up an error. Can't log in to Xbox.com now either.
Though as I type this, the console has finally stopped bleeping. I think I might be in luck...
edit: Success!

Mine is doing the same....
How did you get it to stop??
Actually mine has stopped now too - maybe it has to add all the endings?

Quick update for those yet to play - after playing through an ending, the game now gives you a save right before entering the beam - so you can see the alternative endings without playing the entire London mission again.

Well...it was better than I feared, but not as good as I'd hoped. Improves on the original endings, but does only that. It won't change your mind if you didn't like the choices offered.
I do struggle to understand why it was such a massive file considering the content - I mean it's nearly 2gb, yet consists of a bit of dialogue, a few minutes of CGI video and some concept art. Very odd.
Overall - it's sort of what the endings should have been to start with. Don't expect much else.

At least it's free. I'm still smarting from being ripped off by buying the Euro DLC for Fifa 12
