We're blown away by the scale and scope of the structures submitted to last week's Minecraft building competition, especially when compared to our own meagre offerings. Matt's grand achievement remains a tiny forest in the sky, while Log seems content with the immense achievement in interior design otherwise known as 'pig in a hut'.
It was tough to single people out, but after much deliberation we've come to a decision. Scroll down to see the five creations that won their owners 800 Microsoft Points, plus a gallery of other great entries. Even if you didn't make it into the top five, be assured that you've won a chunk of OXM's love and admiration.

wow, these are incredible, dont get me wrong, im proud of what ive made and i think my bulidings look quality, but these are on another level- especially the bottom two (market one and the entire city)
they must have taken absolutely ages to complete, im not that dedicated to spending ridiculous amounts of hours building stuff- hats off to everyone though im very impressed

They are wool, you can dye them with different things. I think you use Catus for green and the red flower thingy for red.

I would, some are displayed up there only because of the apparent dedication gone into them, and if you've not mined the millions of diamonds then it defeats the reason of why you've been chosen. As I say boo to them - they're phonies, but they have great artistic vision - pandaland especially, probably my favourite.

Never got round to doing my village in a pyramid but running out of sandstone made that creation pointless.

AGREED! lol I made the 'entire' city in the top 5 AND Pandaland and both were obviously made with the duplication glitch but its so worth it when you get to ride the rides, eat the cakes from the cake stand, play the shooting range mini game with endless arrows, and go into every single building to find it furnished! It may seem like cheating but I bust my butt ten times harder making these epic maps than most people do mining 100 cobblestone to make one average looking castle, no offense.

Take red flowers and go to a crafting table, go to decorations and down to dyes to make it red dye. For dark green you have to cook cactus in a furnace. Yellow is the same as red. Blue you use Lapis Lazul and for most of the others its a combination of those four and in some cases bone meal made from bones. Bones you get from Skeletons in easy or hard mode
