Worldwide shipments for Dragon's Dogma have crossed the one million mark, Capcom announced today. The PS3 and Xbox 360 multiplatform title saw worldwide release between May 22 and May 25.

Dragon's Dogma is the company's 55th title to top the one million level.

According to Capcom, the game's first week sales set a new record for sales volume of an entirely new brand when looking at just the past decade.

Capcom's press release announcing the shipment figure said that the company "plans to develop this entirely new brand into a major franchise."
