Viggo Mortensen Taking The Last Voyage of the Demeter?
To say that we're excited to see Neil Marshall's take on the Dracula tale The Last Voyage of the Demeter is a bit of an understatement. The man knows how to do period pieces like no other, and he's not shy about the red stuff either.
Bloody Disgusting has chimed in with a bit of possible casting news, and according to the site, although it has yet to be confirmed, Ben Kingsley is still attached to play the film’s Captain. In addition, Viggo Mortensen (A History of Violence, The Road, The Lord of the Rings) has been offered the lead role of “Henry Clemens.” There’s no real word on Noomi Rapace, coming off Prometheus, other than she “may” still be starring as “Anna Billington.”
The script, written by Season of the Witch's Bragi Schut over a decade ago, places the ship's voyage center stage in a story that (much like the original Alien) will illustrate for viewers what happens when a not-so-human passenger slaughters its transporters one-by-one.
