by Alexandra LodgeCampaigners opposed to plans to build new pylons across the Somerset Levels organised a walk to a viewing point in the Mendips today. They wanted to show members of National Grid and local councillors how the new constructions will impact on the countryside.

MP Tessa Munt, has joined campaigners who are walking along Crook Peak today to raise awareness of plans by the National Grid to install pylons across the county’s countryside.
The Lib Dem MP for Wells says there are other viable options such as underground cabling. She's been campaigning against plans for new pylons through Somerset for almost 3 years
