I'm Matt Schifrin vice president and investing editor for Forbes Media. Believe it or not, I have worked for Forbes for more than 25 years. I learned business journalism under Forbes’ late great editor Jim Michaels. For the first 15 years of my career, I wrote mostly investigative feature stories, but now as an editor I am mostly responsible for investing and finance content in Forbes Magazine and on Forbes.com. This includes its Intelligent Investing section and Financial Advisor Network. I also run Forbes Newsletter Group which publishes more than 40 online investment letters, and its virtual event business, Forbes iConferences. In one of my past lives at Forbes I created Forbes Best of the Web. I am a graduate of Cornell University.

I just wrote my first book,The Warren Buffetts Next Door, The World's Greatest Investor You've Never Heard of and What You Can Learn From Them. It will be published in November 2010 by John Wiley & Sons. This blog will be dedicated to The Warren Buffetts Next Door. In other words it will provide insights and advice from outstanding individual investors who are not only beating professional investors but also living better lives as a result.
