Explore, expand, exploit, and exterminate through Warlock: Master of the Arcane in this video review.
Meh
Civ V goes Master of Magic.Wonderful work by Paradox. I'm just wishing they would have put in even more details. Also the spell system could have been more interesting (MoM did it better).
I'm Sean Connery...hehe.
Looks nice. Tasty visuals too. Might get this some time. Also, it's probably meant to be a given, but I didn't hear any mention of online play. Anyone know if this is online? Btw, VanOrd been poisoning drinks or something? He's been filling in a lot lately.
Renoo27 We've been trying to do video reviews for freelanced assignments whenever we can. In the past, if a review was written by someone offsite, we wouldn't create a video review for it because the author isn't here to record voice and footage. It isn't always possible even now, but we're trying to fill in those gaps more and more.
Looks a bit interesting. But I usually get bored of these kind of games fast.
Looks kinda like Civilization V mixed with Might and Magic, with a dash of Warcraft. Sounds tasty... I mean, good.
I saw this on TotalBiscuit's WTF and got my interest. I should try it.
Where do you guys find the music you play in the background of some of these reviews.. some pretty epic stuff there, sounded like a decent listen! :)
Riaktion Gotta say I agree with you. Would also like to know.
I love the video editing :D when complaining about the AI, the reviewer is accompanied by a scene in which a warrior shouts "For glory and honor!!... ARGH!" and dies. Love those details <3
cheap heroes of might and magic
bob_geldof221 Just what? That statement is wrong for so many reasons.

Similarly themed to M&M;? Yeah, you're not the only one to see it. But to say it's a ripoff of it is just ignorant
This really does look like an in-depth Civ V mod. Perhaps they're using the same engine.
This game looks good but it sounds like it's not very complex, which takes away from the fun for me.
it's civilization with fantasy stuff
Rock - war
That is one baaaad immitation of Sean Connery. Ugh. Despite this, the game looks great and right up my TBS alley. As for being "...initially simialr to "Civilization V..." - make that this IS 'CIv V" as a first impression. Great review, but I cannot help but feel this is a Mod for "Civilaization V" , a game I am well and truly over.
That AI sounds like the way I play
Turn-based strategy - great! Fantasy and turn-based strategy - AWESOME!
Sean Connery stop narrating
this is kevins -not jasons review
yomanjdf No, this is a review by Jason Wilson. Kevin VanOrd did the voice over for the video review.
I really like that review - for me it has tonnes of energy.
The lack of proper UI and the crappiness of the AI make this game quite boring and too easy even on the hardest lvl. the expansive part is fun and the 1st war you wage may be so too, but soon after having to capture the capitals of the inferior opponents left becomes a tedious. Maybe some patches will improve this later but seams unlikely.
played the demo and i was bored.
still no Master of Magic of AOW Shadow Magic
Which is sad b/c figure after like 15+ years you will see something better.
grove12345 A new Age of Wonders would be so welcome. Especially if they kept the hand drawn graphics.. can imagine how lovely they would look now? Bastion springs to mind I must admit..
Ardania... isn't that Majesty?
FlamingFury Yeah it is, there are many games around Ardania.:)
FlamingFury Yup, and the Scottish guy narrates all the Majesty games too.
i'm sean connery and this game is - warlock mashter of the arcane...
slidescroll yeshhhhhhh...
slidescroll
Schplendidmischmoneypenny.
sounds like fun
I've never been a fan of the hex grids. Makes it look too much like a board game..
