Resident Evil 6: 10 whole minutes of actual horror gameplay

Shock: Capcom's latest Resident Evil features genuine suspense

Time and time again, Capcom's told us it'll satisfy fans of both action and horror with Resident Evil 6. And time and time again, we've told Capcom: "pull the other one".

But this time, Capcom's brought 10 minutes of off-screen gameplay footage. And while it's hardly the scariest footage we've ever seen - mainly because people keep shouting things like "OMG, YOU CAN SHOOT BALLOONS" - they're definitely trying. Sinister hallways, elevator tussles and blood trails are all conspicuous by their presence. Yippee.

    It all looks fairly impressive, the run 'n' gun feature's nice but tank controls would've been much more appreciated but we can't have everything eh, from trailers 'n' gameplay, I'm wondering if Leon or Chris will be infected at some point, hopefully not but still it would make a nice twist to the series.

    I wonder though if this gameplay trailer will be included in the Resi 6 demo (should it be a campaign demo).

    Going by every other Capcom game that uses the s***ty MT Framework, they won't.

    Looks good, will be checking out the demo though as I wasn't greatly impressive with 5.

    On a related note, has anyone played Code Veronica X? In two minds about getting it.

    If you played it on Dreamcast/PS2/Gamecube, then go for it. Otherwise the control system will make you rage, plus for all the HD tarting up, it still looks like crap. If you haven't played Resi 4, get that off GoD instead. IMO, Code Veronica X isn't worth £15 nowadays.

    Thanks. I might hold off then, £15 is quite a lot for it and there are other things I'd rather get. I got 4, love that game. Thanks again.
