Game of Thrones review: Stark raving bad

game of thrones review hero

Game of Thrones, the popular HBO series following politics and romance in the high fantasy kingdom of Westeros, has plenty of water-cooler moments. Like, how about when you find out that he and she and he have been doing it this whole time, or when that weird lady gave birth to a stab-happy shadow demon? Those are the days you make a few extra trips for free water in the hopes of bumping into...

Settlement reached in Call of Duty's billion dollar West v. Activision lawsuit

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

The courtroom showdown between the creators of Call of Duty and publisher Activision won't be happening. Attorneys involved tell Polygon that the case won't be going before a jury and that it has been resolved.

"We have reached a settlement in this matter as to all parties and all claims," said Daniel Petrocelli, one of the attorneys for West and Zampella. "Dismissals will be filed soon."

While Activision representatives declined to comment, the company did send out a statement announcing the settlement of the litigation.

Home, a short game released on June 1st, looks to skew more towards the interactive fiction side of things: it's a pixelated tale that supposedly changes "subtly, almost imperceptibly to reflect your perspective" as you progress through it. From what we've played so far, it clearly takes stylistic cues from Resident Evil and other early survival horror games, but the gameplay is stripped down to walking around and examining your surroundings while...

Diablo 3 - Skeleton King

I’ve lost hours thinking it over: which class should I play in Diablo 3?

Last weekend, after weeks of travel and a turbulent eleven-hour flight, I returned to my modest apartment to what I thought would be a relaxed weekend of finally playing my most anticipated game of 2012. As I saw it, I would download the Diablo 3 client, install it onto my Mac, and make no contact with the outside for at least 48 consecutive hours.

I immediately stalled...
