Bottom Line: Lavasoft's designers have so thoroughly streamlined both the user interface and the protective technology in this release that it's almost like version 1.0. Like a version 1.0 product, it has some glitches to work through. In particular, its cleanup totally killed one infested test system; users don't like that.

Bottom Line: This suite offers antivirus and firewall protection, plus a browser safety toolbar. It's relatively light on resources, but the firewall is low-powered and the antivirus killed one test system. You can do better.

Review Date:03.23.2012

Bottom Line: With poor malware cleanup, poor malware blocking, and a personal firewall that has issues, this suite is weak at the core. Add ineffective antispam and antiphishing components and you get a suite that nobody should install.

Bottom Line: Bitdefender Mobile Security is practically unnoticeable on your Android device and very easy to use. However, other apps offer stronger malware protection.
