New Dead Space Graphic Novel Short Appears Online

There is no explanation as to why this Dead Space animated graphic novel clip has appeared online, but we're not going to say no to it.

The comic covers a new character named Sergeant John Carver as he patrols on planet Uxor. There is a Marker involved, some monsters, and loved ones in immediate danger. This may be a teaser for a new Dead Space game, or just a new Dead Space motion comic. In any case, it's more Dead Space, which is always welcome.

All E3 needs is a Dead Space 3 announcement, and I will be happy.
Also, this MUST be for a game. Why else would the beginning have an ESRB rating? I don't see much sense if it's not a game, even if it is based off one.

I saw this on ign a little while ago and they said that the protagonist of this novel could possibly be your co-op partner in dead space 3.

Saw it a bit ago and it was cool. I liked the look of the "other red eyed guy" in the rig. Pretty awesome looking.

is it just me or does Carver fit the description rumored to be the co-op partner in Dead Space 3, " a gnarly scar" on the left side of his face, he has that, and a glowing red light coming from his helmet, he's got that too.

I'm liking the suit this guy is wearing.

And I learned a few things. This is Marker Site 4 (I'm guessing on this one). Markers produce EMP's during a convergence event. The rocket most likely came from a Unitologist. Earthgov has created some kind of shield that keeps the Marker dormant. And the thing that disturbed me is that even though this guy knew about the Markers, he was still kept in the dark about the Necromorphs. This may also be the guy who would apparently appear in the next game.

I think that this comic is called Dead Space: Catalyst. There have been some rumors about this for a while now.
