"This is a great workaround for my HTC Touch Pro 2"
Version: Skype for Windows Mobile 3.0
Pros
It works on voice...and can use WIFI... I will find out about the Verizon Network when I reactivate this world phone for a Europe trip...Ease of installation..see below..
Cons
A little slow logging in...but once there it is working!
Summary
I have a Verizon I Phone 4 with Skype ...works great and does video calls... The only drawback is it is not a world phone, so we are taking my old HTC Touch Pro 2 World Phone to Europe I was disappointed to find out that Skype and Verizon did not support my WM 6.5 device which only a year and a half old... Leave it to CNET to have a solution. We will use this for Skype calls on wireless networks as much as possible but will use Verizon's European Network via the GSM card when needed also... No video calls but great voice quality!! I will research this to see if video is possible with this software...but all my Skype contacts showed up when I signed in...
Make sure you have Active Synch loaded in to your desktop or laptop....download the application to your computer and execute...Next sync with your Windows mobile device and you will have the program!! I downloaded it to the storage card...and it showed up under programs on the mobile device... -

-
"excellent product"
Version: Skype for Windows Mobile 3.0
Pros
clear call quality
Cons
nothing to complain about

Nice to see a useful piece of Winmo software at a time when this platform is being increasingly marginalised

"No go. Nada. Nothing."
Version: Skype for Windows Mobile 3.0
Pros
What cons?
Cons
It doesn't work. At all. Skype abandoned the project. I tried few different versions on Samsung Omnia i900- it wont connect to anything. Millions of users abandoned because of laziness of Skype engineers. "Thanks"

"An essetial product in the Windows Mobile lineup"
Version: Skype for Windows Mobile 3.0
Pros
Skype has become one of the most important tools in modern communication, and it would be very hard to be deprived of Skype on your mobile phone.
Cons
The interface its starting to be a bit obsolete, when applications are becoming more and more finger-based. It could do with an update, but Skype has discontinued Skype for WM.
Summary
Skype has discontinued Windows Mobile development, which is a real shame. In fact, most applications are dropping out of WM and it is painful for longtime WM users (and PPC users before that) to see the slow death of our platform.
