Fantastic, can't wait to play a new cyberpunk RPG, Deus Ex is the only other real one that I know of.

I can't believe that PS4 is coming next year. Hold it at least to 2015, Sony.

That new game sound interesting except for one major thing - cyberpunk. I really hate cyberpunk, steam punk, and most sci-fi's. It's a shame really, the game sounded like it was full of potential.

On a side note: I personally don't think a PS4 is needed until at LEAST 2014.

I think holiday 2013 is a good time for both the PS4 and the next Xbox to be released, seeing how it will mark the 7 and 8 year mark for both consoles respectively. 2014 wouldn't surprise me either though.

Venom_Raptor 48 pts

Thats awesome! A PS4 release next year will be incredible, and I'm loving the sound of a cyberpunk RPG!

When the PS3 came out, it was a next gen console, the ability of the machine was totally different from the PS2, PSN, wireless controllers, decent amount of on line multi player, hard drive save system, dx9 graphics but it feels that the PS4 will just be a PS3 but with a higher DX level, doesn't excite me at all to hear this news, if they don't do something special then I don't see the point to spend £600+ on this system and it feels that the PS3 never really lived up to expectations, is almost like it's still maturing.

Good one, Mark!

But if the PS4 does indeed rear its head at E3, will good game media reps like yourself call Sony on all their BS for blatantly lying to the gaming world about how they totally denied having a console in development and how it definitely wouldn't be shown at E3 just a few short months back?

thequickshooter 11 pts

i think sony should release the console before the xbox launch

I think 2013 is about the right time for a new Playstation console. I would hope that it is priced at a more competitive level this time around and a re-design of the Dualshock is long over due!

magicmonkeymatt 16 pts

deadpeasant Every time they have tried to re design the Duelshock people have complained! I don't see anything wrong with the fundamental design maybe just tighten up the analog sticks a tad!?

pffft... Kaz Hirai is a pretentious upstart!

Ken Kutaragi is *my* idol.

Petnos 63 pts

I almost did a spit take when I heard him say 700-1000 £... thank god he was kidding.

I haven't played The Witcher 2 yet... I'll probably get around to it faster now that they're announcing a pseudo-successor for it.

Damn the gaming scene feels like it moves fast sometimes.

Feels like it, but a 7+ year console cycle definitely isn't fast. Think how much further we could have come if we were a year or two into another set of hardware.

It's nice there not going with download only on the ps4, high speed internet is just not an option for those of us in rural areas, but I have no ambition on buying a new console for barely noticeable new tech.

Blu-Fan-Boy 11 pts

after the terrible PlayStation 3 and the fact that it lost pretty much all its main AAA titles i am unsure of PS4 it has alot of dissapointment to make up for, yes yes it has White Knight Cronicals and yes yes the ever crying MGS4 but at the end of all it i can play the reboot of MGS on Xbox in HD! and a bunch of other games like FF Sony need to up their game up and release that mofo console way ahead of Microsoft if they expect to make any more money other wise its the SEGA route for them soon

Wensea10 13 pts

'Witcher 2' was such an excellent video-game; fantastic that Europe gave the video-game better praisement, that ws expected though!

mrmime777 6 pts

Haha great show - Kaz Hirai must be a budget shrinking deity to worship, what with having to buy all his games and consoles to appease him.

DaltonBey 6 pts

If it was download only, and has a pre-owned lock-out, they would alienate many of their potential customers.

Cybrggame 5 pts

Ahhh yes, I remember "jiggle physics."

YSDG 13 pts

As long as PS4 does go over the ability of PS3, then it's probably worth buying.

Tazzman1000 23 pts

Yeah i don't think sony would ever try to charge £700-£1000 for a console, they'd lose all their customers to microsofts cheap and missing parts X-box. But i can't wait to see the new consoles.

Johny_47 49 pts

That fake quoted rumour from Sony really made me think about that about half way through it, the part with the Migrant slave workers =P

If they choose not to have the console a download only thing I'd like that because about a month ago I was using a ridiculously slow internet, made dial up seem like fiber optic so I know alot of people still use slow internets and it won't be fair to them at all, a full game would take weeks or even months to download.

TorMasturba 8 pts

Pretty pumped for anything that CD projekt is going to work on, I don't even need to know anything about it.

slycatch 54 pts

I'm not seeing Ps4 in a near future!

sasami_adachi 53 pts

According to Sony's marketing team, PS3 already does everything (minus the features they keep unplugging). What does PS4 do? Does everything slightly better? For a mere 700+ pounds, that's a bloody steal! Sadly, it will cost only $400-$500 at most. Bloody rubbish.

 sasami_adachi

The PS4 puts the idea into your head that you need to buy a PS4. That's about all it does! :P

lokizarro 24 pts

£700 - £1000 is what I was expecting to be honest, I can't see many games coming out for it around launch but I'm sure E3 will tell us more.

roguewave2 50 pts

Good luck with your lawsuit Mark! Lol!

Anyways great show!

Gamerboy006 22 pts

Daaaaaayum! £700 - £1000!?

Safe to say I'm waiting for a price drop. :P

JangoF-76 11 pts

I totally agree that an internet dependant console would not be a smart move by Sony as not everyone has broadband/decent broadband connection speed (yeah thanks sky for that).

KnightSkull 13 pts

PS4 priced between £700-£1000? Sounds about right.

davidt000 7 pts

great show mark, hope you do start select more often!
