I get how VF wants to be the "serious"/technician's fighting game but by now it seems like they are willingly making their games ugly to prove that they don't care about interesting or fun character design, effects or smooth animation transitions. Meh, does this really have a niche apart from people who just love this series for the sake of it or who just won't touch any of the other offerings?

Evilchimp413 Didn't bother looking up the game, I see? Well, let me explain then: Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown is a downloadable only title for XBLA and PSN. It's about 2 gigs in size. I'd say it looks pretty darn amazing for that. Personally, I've never seen a downloadable arcade fighter that looks any better, have you? ;)

No fighting game comes close to Virtua Fighter 5! Props to Sega for making such a great series. Thanks for the great video giving us newbies a fantastic run down of the game!

Slagar You are right! Other fighters are so far ahead, they are nowhere near VF 5.
ahpuck There's a typo in your post. You said "ahead" instead of "behind". Just thought I should let you know :) I understand though, VF5FS is so glorious that it can make it hard to think, let alone type correctly.

This game is awesome! I bought 1200 ms point to take it on june 7.The funny part is about skullgirls. Same price and less characters and worst game...
mininudu I'm sorry but worst game? I have to disagree. Skullgirls is really awesome. Less characters is much better and balance than having more characters IMO. It was worth buying it with great style, better tutorial, balanced characters (like I said), awesome music and more!

I never played VF before, so I missed out on VF 5, but after playing the demo for VF5 for a good while, at first I hated it but it grew on me very quickly. So I will definitely be purchasing this game and <I>possibly</I> one of the DLCs that come with it. Will play the crap out of this until Tekken Tag 2 drops!

Very informative video! Liked especially the in-depth discussion about frames. 3D fighters can only be played at top level if you know the frames. I'll be getting this until Tekken Tag Tournament 2 comes out in September. Now THAT is a sick looking game!!

I am not a big Virtua fighter fan (more of a Tekken DOA) but, at $15 this is an amazing deal. More fighters need do this. Since they are not adding anything other than updates. I am looking at you Capcom.

SSF4 AE is 15 dollars as a ADD ON and 40 dollars as a solid copy full game with all previous content.
Original pricing is dependent on if you had SSF4 already.And it was probably the add on he meant.
