The Irrational Games team discusses the motorized patriot, a creepy automized soldier featured in BioShock Infinite.
so scared
I'm wondering with these videos. How much further and much more produced and how much more intelligent will these be... I mean even on the ultimate difficulty in the past games I could take down the enemies and big daddies with a literal flick of my wrist
I've let to finsh their first game (I think I've gotten about 2/3rds of the way through it) much less the 2nd, but I must say I'm really looking forward to to this game! Because if anything this game Dev. like few if any others can really create an unforgettable atmosphere!!!! As a matter of fact I for one (maybe more) wish that after the first Bioshock IG's would have just made this game rather than B2 because from what I understand the 2nd is more or less the same as the first save for the fact that you now play as the Big-Daddy! Just a thought happy gaming!
McGuirex3 Bioshock 2 wasn't actually made by Irrational. Developed by 2K Marin. One of 2k's in house studios. Irrational has allegedly been working on Infinite pretty much since Bioshock. 2K just wanted to cash in on a sequel in the same setting while Bioshock was still hot. Either way, B2 is a sweet game. Definitely didn't hold my attention like Bioshock though.
@chunkowookie, Thanks big time chunkowookie for the heads up and your kind reply as well! Have a great one!
@holthawkins It takes place in 1912, way before Rapture even existed. Can't freakin wait for this awesome game!
I really want to know what time period the game is going to be in is it more 60s or 50s era?
@buying1999: depends on how you look at it. You make it as if Microsoft is more arrogant then they seem already buy having said, "Xbox 360 is the BEST console EVER made."-John Carmack. Really? There are plenty of things better then the 360, and better things then the PS3, and better things then the Wii. It seems to me that in REALITY, all consoles are equal. It just depends on what you like.
Ken Levine...have my children
Oh man this game's gonna rock and it'll be best played on the SUPERIOR Xbox 360 just like all the other Bioshock games were. Better framerates, better shadows, better anti-aliasing, better ssao, and no MANDATORY install. Wait...I described almost all of the multiconsole release games didn't I? ROFL!! Man it much suck to only have an overpriced internet ready blu ray player. "Xbox 360 is the BEST console EVER made." --John Carmack
buying1999 Psh. You can bicker about consoles all you want, but, particularly since you're talking about pretty much all graphics details, but it's technically undeniable fact that the PC has always had the best versions of these games, not to mention just about every other game, too.
Im gona start this game on HARD when it comes out, give myself more challenge adding a more dept of gameplay and scariness into the mix, cant wait for this.
Haha look at that arm going buck wild at 1:39 when booker looks through his scope, this game is going to be awesome!
Creepy.
... You have 20seconds to comply... FREAKING SCARY man.
Nice, they always find a way to make it creepy. Just when you think its a hot chick in the corner, its a splicer with a mini skirt with a dual pistol
The first two BioShock games passed me by but i'm interested in this one.
Whats amazing about the bio shock games is that the story's almost have nothing to do with each other, yet they feel connected in a way that I cant describe, the weapons, enemy's, amazing......
Hey Jimmycc-this game has nothing to do with the underwater Bioshock, they are separate stories. levin is making Bioshock the Brand.
What does this game have to do with the original Bioshock though? I don't care about the new enemies, I want to know where the stories connect.
A little annoying by can do. But I love All bioshock games so far
Chicken pot pieeee...nom nom nom
I'm not going to watch this, don't want any spoilers :)
i dont get what the deal is with the rage of enemys, bioshock 2 did a great job of that, sure we want more enemies but we dont want some to be like oh so ez then the guys who come in and make us think damn it, all enemies should be be difficult to kill in there own way, hell in kingdom hearts the most basic enemies could seep into the ground
@cryduty it says xbox 360 when you click on the video though
I see a "patriot" trend about to happen. Did'nt Assasins Creed have a similar theme? Nothing like early american history in video games. Way to educate the kids..gamemakers.
Bioshock Infinite to ps vita?? really?
I know this game is going to be outstanding. I'm going to enjoy killing the motorized patriot just because he resembles Washington. If Washington would of came up with the Emancipation Proclamation like Lincoln did then I would respect him. I'm just saying.
so they're kind of like the big daddies of columbia? they look amazing :D:D:D
Looks Good! I love BioShock and I can't wait to play this one!
I need another cup of coffee, I could've sworn the title was Heavy Hitlers
That's a really cool and inventive enemy - Bioshock: Infinite is going to be epic!!
ME GUSTA
What an unnerving and creepy enemy... I love it! :D
This is the point I was mking in the MoH video thread. These developers are mature and have a great pool of experience and imagination to draw off. The devs of MoH finished high school like last tuesday, which largely explains why all their games are the same.
@gamerx100: There were no crazily annoying puzzles in Bioshock. I don't know what you mean. It wasn't a puzzle game, it was a horror/action shooter that focused on story. The puzzle I remember is hacking. And that was basically Pipe Dream and it was wicked easy.
cant wait for this
@gamerx100 "Crazily annoying puzzles"? You mean level progression? No, I'm pretty sure Infinite will have those too. I love how it's cool to hate on the brilliant BioShock when there hundreds of AAA titles out there much more deserving of some good libel.
Snake: The PATRIOTS are behind this?
That bloody voice....
This game is going to be so cool, really excited for its release
wow, awesome and creepy looking founding father. be cool if we get the chance to kill zombie hitler or something. now, if this game won't include all those crazily annoying puzzles from the 1st one and concentrate on just the story and shoot'em up action, then i will jump ont this wild ride.
pretty awesome....hes creepy ;P
This is utterly brilliant. When I heard it I thought "Will he be quoting George Washington whilst trying to kill you?" Turns out, he is! :D
Clockwork founding fathers? weird lol. The clockwork element and the relentless come at you nature of the enemy is cool, but the look just isn't that creepy. If it had slightly glowing eyes or something it would feel a bit more creepy to me. Regardless I still want this game, I've enjoyed the series so far and this looks like enough of a departure in setting and style that it will be a decent adventure.
You? people... what we really need is a 12 foot tall, Mecha Teddy Roosevelt with a big @$$ shotgun and lazer glasses, with a pet robo bear that fires "Teddy Bearnades" that explode filled with acidic stuffing!
Best game of 2012.
That's great!
wow cant wait to go on with him :) this game just keep blowing me away.
We have been waiting too long for this game! But its going to be well worth the wait!
