Real shame Uematsu retired for mainstream composition after X. I wasn't aware he could speak English. He's definitely had a big impact on the gaming scene with the music he's composed.

When I listen to the Distant Worlds cds the scene for that particular song goes through my head. Sometimes I'll even tear up.

Well, it has a lot to do with the simple fact that Uematsu doesn't speak English. Not a problem in a 1-on-1 interview because they'd have a japanese person ask him the questions with no in-between, and just dub his responses. When the questions are mainly in english though they have to have a translator translate the questions to him.

I was so happy when I heard NB was back for FF14. The last few just haven't been the same. Those soundtracks are so integral to the game.

When Nobuo Uematsu will come to Brazil? We have large communities who greatly admire his work here, surely he could run one of their biggest concert here, he has to come someday ...
