The High-End Solution for Photography and Retouching

ColorEdge monitors incorporate EIZO's most advanced imaging technologies so they display colors as you, the photographer, intended them to be seen. They support hardware calibration and come with dedicated software for fine tuning the image at the retouching stage. Furthermore, they produce consistent color results with very little deviation so photographers and everyone else in the color management workflow can calibrate to the same settings for a unified color environment.

16-Bit Look-Up Table for Accurate Skin Tone Reproduction

To achieve as accurate display of color as possible, EIZO has developed its own application specific integrated circuit (ASIC). With this ASIC, the gamma level of each monitor is adjusted at the factory by measuring the R, G, and B gamma values from 0 - 255, and using the 16-bit LUT to select the 256 most appropriate tones to achieve the desired value. This ensures flesh tones are displayed as intended without and color banding.

Color Matching for Design and Printing

By calibrating a monitor you create an accurate monitor profile which improves the accuracy of your screen-to-print match. For example, if you are a designer, a profiled monitor significantly reduces the number of times you have to print your comps which in turn allows you to show print outs of your comps to your clients and submit final data to yourprinters with confidence.

Soft Proofing in a Shared Color Space

At the printing stage, having a monitor that correctly displays the submitted data will allow you to make color corrections on screen. Also, by sharing a color space, you will enjoy both greater efficiency and precision at each stage of the printing process.

By using ColorEdge monitors at each stage of the workflow - photography, design, and printing - you can simulate (soft proof) what the final print will look like. This leads to significant reductions in cost and time spent correcting colors when the different parties are all in distant locations from each other.

With the feature sets and color stability required for editing and reference, ColorEdge is the ideal choice for post production work.

Built-In Calibration Sensor. Nothing Could Be Simpler.

A built-in sensor is housed within the bezel of the ColorEdge CG275W and CG245W and swings down over the center top of the screen when calibration begins. This built-in sensor eliminates the need for a third-party calibration device and even operates in portrait mode. You can automate the calibration process by scheduling the monitors to regularly calibrate at a specific time, even outside of work hours when your computer is turned off and you have gone home.
