I watched the video in 720p. Far Cry could be a great game but why do the graphics look so bad. The style reminds me of Crysis 1 for pc but with a lot less detail. Bottom line is they Consolized this game just like they did to the Crysis series with the release of Crysis 2. I have no problem dropping 2 grand to play a game on PC because the graphics and quality is 100% better then what a console can do. However, if they keep making games for console and porting it to PC then there is no point in a top of the line PC. Basically they are purposely making PC gaming obsolete and for that reason I don't buy any PC game that is also released on console. The idea of a PC running console games and consoles running PC games is ridiculous. All PC gamer's should demand they stay true to the PC gamer crowd and go back to the roots where a PC game would cause a overload/meltdown if ran on a console!

Cant doubt Ubisofts ability at creating a great online experience... they got me hooked with the original Ghost Recon for the 360 online... imagine 3-4ish years in advanced (Far Cry 2's multiplayer did suck though)

This seems like Ubisoft is picking up good points in each game 'to create a good shooter like this. I like the way they kept it clean on screen..... "Punish or Pardon" nice idea, It depends on the mood of the player at the end of the game.

It would be very cool if they integrated helicopters and tanks or something

Sounds really cool, and looks good! However, I REALLY hope they don't follow a path too similar to CoD... hope they lay off a bit and keep things like kill streaks and such to a minimal. I know they want to compete, but copying the same formula won't work. They need to keep it fresh and keep their own style.

That punish-pardon thingie is most likely to cause more problems then anything else. Players will probably skip it by leaving the game and joining another one -thus making for unstable player numbers and bad team balance.
Also taping a button to stay alive will give you finger blisters and destroy your keyboard in no time.

Punish or Pardon seems like it will get old no matter what. Other than that, looks pretty solid, though I'm more interested in the single player.

No, neither does knowing where the most overpowered weapons are and everyone running right to them, burning through the ammo and camping till it respawns. I was referring to a game like BF where skill is more important than knowing the map. No shooter is perfect but the old school "run to the best weapons on the map" formula is antiquated and I'm reminded why it is whenever I play a game that follows this formula. If you like that sort of thing that's fine but I doubt you'll see any developers return to it.
