This game needs to hit North America. Gotta love that soundtrack too.

gmoya909 8 pts

This game is very nice indee!! playing the EU version atm!!

the9thinning 9 pts

@wizardboyus We don't know yet. Stay tuned for E3 on June 5-7 on most if not all the titles in the launch being announced. :)

wizardboyus 19 pts

@the9thinning thanks i think i will wait, what are the big launch titles that are comin out for wii u?

PappaRoachy 5 pts

If Ganbarion won't bring Pandora's Tower for release in North America, can someone suggest to them that they start a Kickstarter campaign to get it to the US. I am sure they could raise enough money very quickly...(if it truly is a money thing)..instead of watching desperate gamers like Andrew Eisen make Old-Spice-like campaigns begging for more North American releases.

the9thinning 9 pts

@wizardboyus You should wait for Wii U because it can play Wii U games AND Wii games.

wizardboyus 19 pts

all these cool rpgs coming out for wii are convincing me to buy one, or should i wait for the wii u?

wankwish 13 pts

...just finished a Pikmin 2 and a Pikmin 1 right before that , so I guess this time management mechanics in Pandora`s Towers won`t stop me! )

Zenwork21 6 pts

Sorry, time management is not for me

nintendoboy16 34 pts

@Toysoldier34 I was talking about why you keep saying the OpRainfall (or any game in the RPG genre that's on Nintendo systems) games should be ported and not exclusive and I made my points saying why they should stay Wii exclusive. So no, I WASN'T overlooking your points. Honestly, Sony/MS consoles have plenty of RPG's (both exclusive and multiplat) that the Wii lacks, let them stay exclusive and let's not take that away. Making exclusive games multiplatform lessen chances of gamers wanting to buy said system.

Toysoldier34 57 pts

@nintendoboy16 You miss every point I make and only try to defend something that there isn't anything to defend from. I am not attacking the Wii at all so you can stop. I am merely saying that for the sake of the developer it would have been good for the game to be on more platforms so that they could have more money. With more money we would be able to see bigger and greater game. That is simply all I was saying, I said nothing about the Wii not needing good games or that it shouldn't get them.

nintendoboy16 34 pts

@Toysoldier34 Even if the RPG market is bigger on Sony/MS' systems, that still doesn't mean Nintendo consoles can't have RPG's of their own. By that logic, you might as well ask for Pokemon (which is Nintendo's biggest franchise in this genre and it sells really well) to be ported on the PS3/Vita because the RPG market lacks on Nintendo's systems. It also doesn't matter that it enters this late in the Wii's lifetime, considering gamers got more into the GameCube (the most hated system of it's time, just like the Wii is now) when the Wii released (the irony in this is just astounding). Nintendo needs more of these games and it doesn't matter the circumstances: End of Story

@Campbell153. Thanks for the tip. I don't know why I didn't think to watch a lets play for Pandora's Tower because I normally would. I do sometimes like to watch the1st hour or so to get a feel for the game without spoiling too much. I'll definitely check it out.

Mithrilmojo 5 pts

Looks interesting. Seems a little too dark and murky, but I'm not sure if that's just the video. I can wait for it to go stateside, since I still have Xenoblade and Last Story to wade through.

Chickan_117 8 pts

@burgo81 - Use the advanced or classic controller. I haven't used the "waggle stick" and nunchuck for any of the recent Wii releases (Xenoblade, Last Story, this). Controls well.

burgo81 10 pts

just sucks that it is on the wii, the controller would piss me off in about 20min

simon1812 42 pts

it looks very interesting in term of gameplay and story, the graphic do looks a little outdated but that never stopped me from enjoying a good game. PS no PS3 version!? aaaaugh.

Darnasian 74 pts

@E25mad25 I don't play JRPGs so it's no loss for me :P I play only WRPGs but had a couple encounters with JRPGs but they were on SONY consoles XD We have Star Ocean O_o...great franchise imo

JAB991 5 pts

This game looks kind of awesome. Hopefully it'll get released stateside soon.

djsweete3 9 pts

look like a ps1 game the wii is crap

E25mad25 5 pts

the Wii might not have the best graphics but it has the best awesomeness and haven't you seen Fatal Frame 2 remake?? the graphics are better than Resident Evil 6's And Silent Hill: Downpour's

E25mad25 5 pts

@Sesshoumaru1708 8.0 means Great which is even better than good 9.0 means almost perfect (Superb) and 10 mean Prime which is the rarest and means the perfect game, this game isnt perfect its great, great is awesome

E25mad25 5 pts

@Darnasian the graphics doesnt have to be great, and if sony wouldnt agree for the trade nintendo wont :P you are never getting pandora's tower and the last story and fatal frame 4 and fatal frame 2 remake and xenoblade ETC.

criticfromhell 8 pts

While graphics are important, they aren't the definition of a good game, or, in the Wii's case, a good console. Still, everyone's preferences are different, and valuing graphical power is perfectly fine. Reversely, valuing storytelling and gameplay innovation is perfectly fine, as well.

Toysoldier34 57 pts

@nintendoboy16 Part 2: I was speaking merely from the point of the games, not the Wii. Had they released where the audience was greatest they could have made more money so that us gamers could benefit from those companies having more money to put into their next great projects. There have been many amazing games, some of my all time favorites, that release on unpopular systems or go by unheard of. Due to the fact that the games, while fun, didn't sell well they never received any follow up games and sometimes the company went under because their game didn't sell enough. I just wouldn't want that to happen to these games. They are amazing games and I hope that the sales reflect that, but history shows us that the economy doesn't always reflect that.

Toysoldier34 57 pts

@nintendoboy16 This far into the console's life cycle you really won't change what gamers think about a system and why they buy them. People buy Wiis now for the same reason they did three years ago.People often make games for the Wii because the production costs are significantly lower than they are on the 360 or PS3. I fully understand that Nintendo may want to pull in more gamers to different genres but for the most part that ship has sailed. The games and companies you named didn't make their games to benefit the Wii and make it have more games in a genre, they made their games to make money. They put Goldeneye on the Wii to sell copies of the game, not to give the Wii a greater FPS selection. While yes it does end up doing that, it isn't the reason they did it at all. Making a good FPS on a system with rarely any decent ones is a solid selling point because anyone with the system only that enjoys that genre has little option but to get it. My main point was that for the sake of the great games that have come to the Wii recently, they should have released on multiple systems. Simply because they audience for those games is much stronger on other systems. They could have made more money and had a greater return the more copies they sell.

JoSilver 9 pts

Good lord what is all this crap about graphics and junk! Everyone with a Wii knows the Wii has bad graphics. If Graphic mean so much to you Go Stare at 3D Mark all day long or something.

iArtisan 5 pts

@Excetera-ZEN Yes, when you compare 5 horsepower to 500.

Pete5506 16 pts

@Sesshoumaru1708 Where I'm from 8.0 is still a great score.

Sesshoumaru1708 5 pts

So all i herd was good things in this review so why did it only get 8.0...????

JoSilver 9 pts

WHY NO AMERICAN RELEASE!!!! >:O

grey_fox1984 18 pts

@Excetera-ZEN While you are correct, defending Wii as a platform is problematic. It was underpowered the day it was released- arguably equalling the specs of its predecessor and being WEAKER than the previous XBOX. It's good for wii owners to have gotten a double-shot of good JRPGs with Xenoblade Chronicles and this, but PS3 and 360 don't just have a graphical edge; for the most part they have way better games, regardless of appearance.

Excetera-ZEN 7 pts

"Look at me, I'm a hardcore gamer, grafiixs herp-a-derp". Cause horsepower is the only thing that makes a good car right?

Mariner32 36 pts

It really is a shame, though. It's only at the end of the console's lifespan that third-party developers are finally learning how to properly utilize the Wii's control scheme. Luckily, Wiimotes still work with WiiU so we might still see some games using similar controls.

Zipporah 5 pts

I've said it before and I'll say it again... Please, please, bring this to the U.S.!!!

jeanlucforever 5 pts

@dynomitemasta, while I agree the art styles haven't changed much, I guess what matters more to me is the the story and gameplay elements. You have to admit that finding chunks of monsters to bring back to your beloved is not the typical jrpg storyline. You do make a valuable point though and I hope they will address this issue soon.

skayj2 5 pts

Lol guys, I don't know why you're bothering to defend the Wii from all these haters. Seriously, all they can manage to criticize are the graphics, but not the actually quality of the games that the Wii has been a host to. I think that speaks for itself.

dynomitemasta 9 pts

@jeanlucforever, it's not the graphics I'm discounting, it's the whole jrpg genre, I couldn't care less about graphics if the game-play is great. It's just that after playing jrpg's for 25-30 years it hasn't grown much, or changed much, or deviated from the originals much. I think that my biggest complaint with these games is that they don't get completely original artists that do their own thing. They get artists that follow the same style of anime illustration thats been around since Marine Boy and Astro Boy in the 60's ... sure it's been tweaked, but it's all very similar and they follow a template on how to draw faces and creatures... so when I see a lot of these games they seem interchangeable, and that bores the crap out of me, and is a huge reason the genre is dying outside of Japan. They have stayed the same. It's a shame too because the Japanese are pretty creative as a whole, but pigeon holing yourself so every game looks like the last in the year 2012 where it's out with the old and in with the new with everything else, it's like eating chicken for 3 meals a day, every day .... forever.

calvinsora 14 pts

@ih4tefanboys: I find your username hilariously ironic. Also, Tetris is awesome.

RealFabioSooner 35 pts

@Darnasian The Wii actually uses regular DVDs, both single and dual layer, just like the Xbox. Space isn't actually a problem. Processing power is the one and only thing here.

Darnasian 74 pts

@E25mad25 It's not possible due to some facts: The space required to port Uncharted or God of War isa lot bigger then a Wii disc can handle. Graphically and from a performance stand point of view it's not possible to even port the trailers or the endings due to the high graphics. Sony would never do a trade like this XD

professorXzaver 16 pts

15 to 20 hours, that is very good to hear. I thought this would be one of those boreing 100 hours RPG games, I hate those super long games.

awwitz 17 pts

incredible premise and cool gameplay!

nintendoboy16 34 pts

@Runock Not when Nintendo owns the IP's, they won't.

Runock 34 pts

@E25mad25 You and I both know the Wii couldn't handle either of those without a serious downgrade :P But even so I would welcome the trade! I don't even own a ps3 hehe.

amdreallyfast 6 pts

Seriously, I need to get a Wii soon; I've been holding out for Wii-U, but I may cave this summer. Xenoblade Chronicles, the Last Story, and Pandora's Tower are out, and I still have a backlog of great games to finish! ME3, Arkham Asylum, Deus Ex human Revolution, FFXIII-2 (not quite a FF game IMO but still an excellent game in its own right), Valkyria Chronicles, Witcher 2, and others. A gaming hobby is serious work :)
