Bethesda and Lionhead staff up for next-gen

Skyrim developer Bethesda and Fable studio Lionhead are seeking to fill positions that suggest both studios are preparing for a new generation of hardware.

Of the two, Bethesda's intent is the more obvious: it's hiring for a "future generation console programmer ... to work on cutting-edge technology for an unannounced game on future-generation consoles." Applicants must have five years of experience with multiple titles shipped, extensive experience coding for PS3 and Xbox 360, and preferably DirectX 11 experience.

Lionhead seeks a lead engine programmer "to be a key contributor on an unannounced title." While next-gen consoles aren't mentioned specifically, another reference to DX11, which is unsupported by Xbox 360, suggests the studio has new platforms in mind.
