Persona 2: Innocent Sin data can be imported into Eternal Punishment

A feature included in Persona 2: Eternal Punishment will allow players to import save data from Persona 2: Innocent Sin into the game. According to Atlus, you won’t have had to beat the game either in order to take advantage of the feature, as all it needs are stats and level data. The “fusion skill list, monster conversation commands, and spare tarot cards,” will also transfer into Eternal Punishment, reports Siliconera, and it is being hinted that some of the save data transferred may change some of the scenes as well. Eternal Punishment releases in Japan on PSP May 17.

MLG and KeSPA announce multi-year, exclusive StarCraft partnership

Major League Gaming and the Korean eSports Association have announced an exclusive multi-year global partnership which will merge the western and Korean StarCraft competitions. As part of the collaboration, KeSPA players will compete in US MLG events for the first time in eSports history. The partnership kicks off during the MLG Spring Championship in Anaheim, CA on June 9 where KeSPA Pro players will compete in a StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty tournament. Participants from the top KeSPA teams will be selected and are to be announced in the coming weeks. The exposition match and the entire Spring Championship will be broadcast live online via MLG. BioWare looking into technical issues with modifiable offhand in SWTOR

BioWare said during its weekly SWTOR community Q&A it’s looking into a technical issue preventing a modifiable offhand with some classes, and that it plans on added a new augment slot to existing modifiable items. The developer also there there are currently no plans for making companions more interchangeable, and also discussed the various rates of gear acquisition in progress tracks for PvE and PvP players. Report – FarmVille sequel being tested in the Philippines

A report on TechCrunch states Zynga is currently testing the sequel to FarmVille in the Philippines under the codename Big Harvest. Word of the game, currently in beta, was sent to the site via a tipster who also sent along a screenshot of the social game. According to the source, the game contains revamped graphics as well as gameplay changes such as growing crops to feed your farm critters. Zynga declined comment on the game, but said it’s always “looking for ways to bring players the best experience,” and “continuously innovating” its titles. The original FarmVille is staill a major cash cow for the firm, and made up 29% of the company’s online revenue in the last fiscal quarter.

Kingdom Hearts 3D demo to release in North America

A demo for Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance will be released North America, according to director Tetsuya Nomura. Speaking with Famitsu, Nomura confirmed the demo will include the Sora scenario Traverse Town which is currently the demo available in Japan. A date for the demo wan’t noted. Blizzard issues new EU English and German Diablo IIII downloaders due to missing files

Blizzard has said there is an issue with the German and EU English versions of Diablo III’s digital install downloader causing it skip some necessary files. Those who pre-downloaded the digital version of the game in these languages before 10.00am CEST (9:00 AM GMT) today, will need to get the downloader in order to install the game properly once it’s released on May 15. EA to add more DICE servers to Battlefield 3

EA has denied claims it shut down any official servers hosted by it or DICE, forcing players to play only on rental servers. “DICE is not shutting down servers,” an EA representative told Gamespot. “If DICE-managed servers appear unavailable, it is because they have been rented and customized by players. DICE will continue to add servers and will reserve a percentage of servers for players who prefer to connect through DICE-hosted servers.” Earlier in the week players were complaining that it was almost impossible to find a server to play on that wasn’t rented, and an official server search conducted by VentureBeat found 17 EA run servers, but no servers run by DICE.
