Sleeping Dogs combat video shows lots of punching, kicking

First Ghost Recon: Future Soldier map pack lands in July

Ubisoft has announced the first map pack for Ghost Recon: Future Solider will be released on July 3 for 800 MS Points/$9.99. Titled Arctic Strike, the pack contains maps in, obviously the Arctic, but in Moscow as well. It comes with a new multiplayer mode, six new weapons, and a Guerrilla Mode co-op map. Future Soldier launches on May 25 for PS3 and 360 and on June 12 for PC. Thanks, Gematsu.

Here’s your Madden 13 cover featuring Calvin Johnson

EA has released the box art for Madden 13 with Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson gracing the cover. The athlete was chosen through a seven-week voting process hosted by EA Sports, which boasts of 19.6 million participants. Madden NFL 13 is expected on August 28, for PS3 and Xbox 360. Zombie Tycoon 2 to release next year for PS3 and Vita

Frima Studios has announced Zombie Tycoon 2: Brainhov’s Revenge for PS3 and Vita. The RTS game will be a full, PSN release, instead of a mini like the previous entry. It will also contain cross-play support, multiplayer, is is being built with Unreal Engine 3. The title was announced yesterday during the PlayStation <3 Canada meetup in Toronto and is slated for release in 2013.

Max Payne 3 preps for launch with final trailer

Rockstar has released the launch trailer for Max Payne 3, which lands next week on May 15 in the US and May 18 in the UK. If you haven’t set up your multiplayer crew yet, you need to hurry the hell up. While you’re at it, you may want to check into the Season Pass for the game as well. The game will be available on PS3 and Xbox 360 at launch and the PC version will be released at the end of the month.

“No plans” for Dragon’s Dogma on PC, launch trailer released

When Dragon’s Dogma was announced, many in the gaming community felt Capcom missed out on the opportunity to add co-op elements, especially once the pawn system was revealed. However, producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi said the team never considered adding co-op, or multiplayer for that matter, for a couple of reasons.

Batman: Arkham City teaser for Harley Quinn’s Revenge released

A teaser trailer for the Harley Quinn’s Revenge DLC for Batman: Arkham City is posted below courtesy of AGB. Players will be tasked with stopping Harley’s plan to shut down the gates of heavily fortified Arkham City super prison. The DLC will land on PS3 in the US on May 29, and on Xbox 360 and European PSN territories on May 30.

DICE servers disappear from Battlefield 3, rental servers take precedence

Many Battlefield 3 players have noticed it’s becoming almost impossible to fine EA run servers for the game and DICE-hosted servers have all but disappeared from the game, while rental servers have been placed front and center. According to a report on VentureBeat, a search for official servers found 17 EA run servers, but none run by DICE. Community manager Daniel Matros opened up the forums for player communication on the matter, and after several complaints on the matter replied: “There is only so much physical space and digital space where you can have servers. The community requested [rental servers] and we delivered.” He did, however, say he would mention the community’s concerns to DICE. We’ll keep you updated on the situation as more information becomes available.

Namco’s released new DLC for Touch My Katamari in Japan. The new content features collaborations from manga/anime Usagi Drop, manga artist Takayuki Mizushina, retailer Matsumoto Shoten, East Japan Taxi ‘Blue Ribbon’ and a redevelopment group. Nope, I don’t get it neither.

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City hits 2 million shipped worldwide

Capcom’s announced this morning its shipped 2 million units worldwide of Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City. The Slant Six shooter launched at the end of March in the west and the end of April in Japan, but was critically slammed, hitting 52 on MetaCritic on both PS3 and 360.
