Japanese hardware sales, February 2-8

dsi51

In short: down, down, down, down, down, up, down.

Yep: Xbox 360 was the only hardware platform to see a sales rise in Japan last week, up a phallus-engorging 204 units.

Thrilling stuff. Last week’s data here.

  • DSi – 49,529
  • PSP – 34,969
  • Wii – 20,412
  • PS3 – 16,082
  • DS Lite – 12,484
  • Xbox 360 – 8,311
  • PS2 – 5,089

The Wii’s going to be doing worse than the PS3 before long if this keeps up! What in blinkers is going on?

wonder what sort of bump the 360 will get thanks to star ocean, i wonder if it could outsell the Wii with these numbers?

what will happen when everyone does own a Wii that wants one and they sell less than 10,000 a week, do the stories start to claim the end of video games or?
