On the Spot brings you demos of Renaissance Heroes as well as some of the awesome user-created test chambers in the Portal 2 DLC: The Perpetual Testing Initiative. We'll also discuss the system requirements for Diablo III and much more!
So why the hell did you make a video player where you can't skip until it's loaded. I have a good connection so it's not a huge deal but still that's really annoying. I'm don't build websites, maybe it made the most sense. But I still think it's crappy.
Sounds problems... Image blackouts... Background noises.... Sound looping (at the start of the show)... OTS is amateurish and that makes it different from other shows. I like it, but it can get annoying. Cheers!

Renassiance Heroes looks pretty good and great fun, Definitely getting MAX PAYNE and DIABLO III but not sure if i'm getting Portal this time...

what most poor people that play games are gonna do this.....preorder diablo....play that for a while then wait until gta comes out so that max payne will become dirt cheap...then by the time max oayne and diablo get boring gta is gonna be dirt cheap....

I love watching On The Spot. This is one of the Gamespot shows that are long-standing and definitely very entertaining in it's deliverance of news and updates. Great job, GS Team!
Apparently Diablo 3 will even run on the Intel Graphics 3000, though you will likely have to adjust to settings to low. So basically any machine with an i3 or better in it should be able to run the game.
syd905 I played the beta version on a dual core Celeron@1.60 Ghz with 2gb of ram and a nvidia gt 240 on medium to high settings.So I3 or better should have no problem with it.
Ive played the beta for diablo 3 and my Rig runs the game at extreme settings no problem.

I often do not get impressed by FPS games recently, but renaissance heroes looks really good.
I hope I get a copy. Anyway An audio version of it would be awesome. Excellent show!!!!

That 5 year statement is not accurate. Not all comps made back then have the required cards. I purchased a PC 3 years ago and it can't play Diablo III because the video card is not compatible and for some reason I get a circled I for my pc speed which is 2.9 GHz. I've found cards I could get for under 50 that would play Diablo III at close to high settings but the fact is, not all PC's built 5-6 years ago can handle Diablo III.
smoothyplum26 They said for something that was BUILT within 5 years, not something that was built before that and you bought after.
jamesbigmac Yes, but I got my PC in 09 which they said a PC in that time would play Diablo III. Not all will.
smoothyplum26 I apologize for any confusion. What graphics card does your PC have? My statement regarding the 5 year window refers to machines with up to date parts; not necessarily top of the line, but not barebones either.
In regards to your CPU being too slow, I'm not sure why your 2.9 GHz proc is incompatible. Would you mind telling me what model that is, as well?

You know you can max out diablo 3 at a medium resolution with a core 2 duo 2.4gtz and an 8600gt, which is like 6 year old hardware. No one cares if some stupid system check website that no one who knows anything about computers would use called out your system. Obviously, the game won't run on a $200 netbook from 5years ago, but that was not made for gaming anyways. A 5 year old gaming PC or gaming laptop seems like a fairly conservative estimate for what can run diablo 3 to be honest.
smoothyplum26 I had a bit of a shock when i saw the list of supported videocards and mine wasn,t on it . But i have a low end videocard (Nvidia GT 520 ) and it ran the beta beautifully ! My pc is from 2008 and i have a software overclock running ( Vtune) and i had no problems what so ever .
This card cost me 60 euro's and i have no complaints .
Renaissance Heroes sounds like it could be a fun change of setting from the rather stale military/sci-fi FPS trend. Max Payne 3 is looking incredible.

the whole idea of "soft lock" in max payne 3 is really turning me off of the multi player. Its one thing for a noob to get lucky and sneak me and get a kill its another entirely when he has little or no chance of missing if he does get the jump on me. In my opinion this is just not how multi player gaming is supposed to be. Seems to me like they want people to be able to compete who have no business playing online in the first place.
JodyR I saw your profile. You have a great collection of games for PC, so big like my collection for PlayStation consoles. You also have a lot of emblems, an impressive number of them I would say. Long time since the last time I won an emblem... :-( You're a true gamer girl!
