Quick shots – Soul Sacrifice screens are rather horrific
Famitsu has posted various screenshots and artwork from Keiji Inafune and Marvelous Entertainment’s Vita title, Soul Sacrifice. The art looks like it was pulled straight from the worst nightmare Durante degli Alighieri could have ever had. The game takes place inside the Golem Book which is filled with monsters the player must battle – all of which were at one time human before they overdid it on the magic use. The Last Laugh signals The Joker’s return to DC Universe Online
SOE has announced that The Last Laugh, the fourth DLC pack for DC Universe Online. The new content will be available in June for PC and PS3 and pits players against each other in new multiplayer brawls with an all-new weapon, and the new Light-Powered Legends PvP characters.

Quick shots – LOTRO update 7 screens show nasty snow beasts
Turbine has released a new set of screenshots for Lord of the Rings Online showing update 7. The new content will include Methedras, the tall wintry peak which lies at the southern end of the Misty Mountains. Players will confront supernatural forces which are striving to stop Rohan and players will join forces with the Rangers as they battle the sorceress Gwyllion. The new skirmish supports twelve players, level 70-75, and offers two tiers of difficulty for those who like a bit of a challenge.

Agent 47′s the culplrit behind a deadly “prank” in these Hitman: Absolution screens
Square and IO have sent over two new screenshots for Hitman: Absolution. You’ll be familiar with one of these, as it was posted yesterday in the latest edition of the game’s Hope Times newspaper. Game’s out sometime this year on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. We really wish Square would announce a release date for this – soon.

DDO: Menace of the Underdark closed beta starts May 10 for those who pre-order
Turbine has announced the closed beta for DDO: Menace of the Underdark will launch next week on May 10 exclusively for those who to pre-order the expansion. The firm also sent over a new batch of screens for the Eveningstar area, which are posted below. The expansion is due for release on June 25.

Quick shots – Max Payne 3 screens show drinking and dual wielding
Some lovely new Max Payne 3 shots have landed, courtesy of AGB. The game is out week after next, and surely you are excited for it. We are at least. You can reach out and slap other players in LBP Karting
Some screenshots of United Front Games’ LittleBigPlanet Karting are posted below courtesy of AGB. Also, Polygon has some gameplay details for you: the LBP grappling hook mechanic returns; a hover chassis is implemented on the cars; it contains quests such as finding hidden items, hide n’ go seek, and waypoint races; it has an eight-player battle area; asynchronous multiplayer for user-made tracks is included; and an expanded Pod will allow players to travel between modes and perform various customization options. You can also turn any in-game object into a weapon or paint one into the game as well as reach out and slap other players in order to stun them. Sounds fun. Game’s out in October on PS3.

Trials-like Urban Trials coming to PlayStation Vita
Tate Interactive has unveiled Urban Trials, a game similar in vein to – hold it – RedLynx’s Trials games. The racer will feature a Trials motorbike with advanced physics model, as well as the abilities to challenge ghost times of your friends, customise your bike and more. 20 in-game levels will be included, as will the ability to take in-game screens and share them. Quick shots – Persona 4 Golden
Those tickled over the announcement that Atlus will publish Persona 4 Golden on Vita this fall in North America will pleased as punch with the screenshots posted below. The remake contains upgrades from the original PS2 title Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4, has been given audio and visual upgrades, a new character, an online dungeon rescue feature, and more. Dragon War Battle Pack now available for Total War: SHOGUN 2
SEGA has announced the Dragon War Battle Pack for Total War: SHOGUN 2 which consists of six battles from the Boshin War, depicting the campaign of Saigo Takamori, is now available. Previously only available through the Fall of the Samurai expansion, the pack can now be accessed in the original game.

Quick shots – Final Fantasy XIII-2 Episode 3 Lightning: Requiem of the Goddess
Square has released a set of Final Fantasy XIII-2 screens and renders for Episode 3 Lightning: Requiem of the Goddess. The DLC is to be released on May. Also set for release in May are new costumes for Noel and Serah who can don the attire of a Black Mage or a White Mage, respectively. Free-to-play Silent Hunter Online announced, beta applications being accepted
Ubisoft has announced the development of a free-to-play installment of the Silent Hunter series. Titled Silent Hunter Online, the firm is now accepting closed beta applications for the browser-based multiplayer game in development at Ubisoft Blue Byte. According to the firm, the heart of the game is “the Battle of the Atlantic”, an “innovative dynamic campaign in which individual successes impact all other players through asynchronous gameplay.” Also, for the first time in the Silent Hunter series, players will be able to play every mission of the campaign in co-op. The Silent Hunter franchise has sold nearly 2 million copies worldwide since the first release in 1996. A couple screens are posted below.

Game of Thrones screens show action, pre-order on Steam to get official Prima eGuide
Cyanide has released a new set of screenshots for Game of Thrones the RPG, showing off some of the action. The firm also sent word that those who pre-order the game on Steam will be granted free access to the official Prima eGuide for the game. Accessible through the Steam overlay, the guide contains all the secrets of the game, over 40 interactive maps, a walkthrough to unlock all endings, tips, over 130 exclusive codex entries, and more. Game of Thrones will be released on May 15 on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
